Syracuse: Boat Trip with Lunch, Wine, and Swimming Stops

There is no doubting that this is a nice day out. The staff are nice, the foot is delicious, the boat is authentic and there are plenty of swimming stops. However, if like me you are thinking to book this trip to see the beautiful natural marine of Plemmirio then you will need to adjust your expectations. The stops which the boat makes are surrounded by houses and I didn’t see a single fish. I was expecting it to be more natural with the scenery. I now understand that you may be better to find a diving shop for other boats if you want to see the majority of Plemmirio. I wish I knew this beforehand because I only booked it for the nature.

The staff were kind, however there was little to no information given about the history of the coast or where we were. The boat itself was a little outdated considering the price but comfortable for our group size. The food was well prepared and we saw some beautiful swimming spots with some fish. One thing to mention is they charge you €7.50 to hire a singular pair of goggles for the tour (no snorkel available). They said we could pay by card at the end after returning the goggles but we had to wait 18 minutes at the docks for the card machine to be dropped off. Overall a nice trip but a little overpriced in my opinion..

Unfortunately the experience didn’t match the description. The parking directions were incorrect, and traffic around Syracuse is heavy, so we recommend arriving at least an hour early. The boat was too large to enter the caves, unlike the smaller boats we saw doing so. The first swimming stop was fantastic, but very short. Afterwards, for reasons that weren’t clear, we were instructed to remain in the harbour for around 90 minutes. We were told we could swim there, but the water was uninviting due to boat traffic and pollution. Lunch was served there: the meats and cheeses were good and the tomato pasta was delicious. Drinks were plentiful and there is a toilet onboard. Later we had to choose between completing the tour or swimming. With children, we chose swimming, but were taken back to the harbour rather than the beautiful swimming spot we’d visited earlier. Overall, we were disappointed as we did not receive the experience we had understood we were purchasing.

Giro in barca pagato 100 euro, ma il suo valore non era neanche da 10 euro. Descrivono un giro bellissimo e pieno di tappe, quando letteralmente ti fanno vedere tre cose con un mare che è raggiungibile anche dalla spiaggia tranquillamente in modo autonomo. Nessuno ti spiega nulla di ciò che si vede o quantomeno dove si sta passando. In 4 ore fatte 3 soste bagno in un mare non all'altezza di una gita in barca. Affermano che il tour comprende la visita al Plemmirio e alla Pillirina, ma è una bugia dato che poi ti viene detto che non è possibile né raggiungerlo nè fare la sosta con il bagno. L'ultima sosta bagno durata 40 minuti (per perdere tempo e far arrivare al termine il giro) vicino al porto in un mare sporco ovviamente. Promettono un pranzo tipico ma all'antipasto hanno rifilato salumi confezioni del supermercato con annessa gelatina, e un pò di formaggio. Mentre, come primo piatto: pasta con i pomodori, che si mangia letteralmente in tutta Italia. Pessimo: è solamente un furto.

Esperienza da 10 e lode con Dolci Escursioni (uscita delle 11:00)! • Paesaggio: Una natura mozzafiato lungo la costa. • Soste bagno: Bagni al largo indescrivibili in un mare stupendo. • Staff e Cibo: Accoglienza splendida e un'ottima pasta alla norma preparata a bordo. • Plus di valore: Frigo bar ricchissimo sempre a disposizione di tutti, completo di vini e prosecco! È mancato solo il caffè! 😜 Tutto semplicemente meraviglioso. Super consigliato!

tour rimandato per vento dal 15 al 16 agosto, anche il 16 agosto giornata ventosa ma pur di non rimborsare han riempito 2 barche e siamo usciti comunque, arrivati vicino al plemmirio fermi per vento mezz'ora e tornati indietro. abbiamo sostato 1 ora in prossimitá del porto con momenti di pioggia per poi rientrare. Se avessero solo rimborsato i biglietti sarebbe stato meglio
