The visit to the Agrigento Archaeological Park was wonderful. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and gave engaging stories. The second part of the tour doesn't match the description on the website. It's not possible to climb the Turkish Steps, which are truly impressive. Tickets can only be purchased online and in advance. There's no ticket office on-site, and tickets can't be purchased online because they're sold out. No one on the tour went up this attraction. It's a shame, because when you're so close and have almost two hours to spend on the beach, you'd want to climb the Steps as well. The website doesn't provide any information about this.

Enjoyable and informative day. An easy way to reach & explore the temples. Instructed to arrive at 7 for a 7:15 pickup. Coach arrived at 7:20 (set the tone for the day as there is not much space for a large coach, so the pickups always made the passengers wait to ensure the coach didn’t need to park for long.) There were 5 more pickups, a down side to a large tour. Once on the road, the driver was surprising careful - unusual for Italy. The guide was interesting and informative, giving fluent stories in both English & French. This was impressive, but I tuned in & out and would have preferred a smaller group, with just one commentary. There was a 30 min stop (welcome for toilets and breakfast after an early start, but again reminded me that with a smaller group we would have been there already). We reached the temples and were pleased to have the tickets sorted. It was a hot day, and guide was considerate to gather in the shade. Could have skipped the Turkish steps and 2 hour lunch brk.

It’s a long way from Cefalu over mostly very bumpy autostrada. Too hot to enjoy the Valley of the Temples and not a great deal there - a museum would have been nice. Didn’t enjoy the Scala dei Turchi - 5 minutes to take in the view then almost 2 hours to wait for the bus - heat forced us to shelter in the restaurant (very expensive). I would have preferred a visit to the Villa Romana in association with the Valley of the Temples instead of the Scala dei Turchi

Tour guide and driver were lovely, but the guide and group were not always the most welcoming. There should have been more options available for the group to view the ruins and take pictures. The actual time at the ruins was spent discussing them instead of appreciating them. The drive was quite rough and bumpy in spots. The price seemed a bit expensive for the experience, but we are still happy we went!
