Balestrate Olive Grove Tour with Wine & Olive Oil Tasting

This was a truly special, intimate, and insightful experience. From the start, Francesco was an excellent host who welcomed us with genuine warmth. He met us and drove us out to the beautiful olive groves, where he shared the rich history of his family business and their olive trees.Everything about the day was exceptional—the food, the drinks, and the wonderful atmosphere. Tasting their olive oil straight from the source was an unforgettable highlight; it was so fresh and crisp, it felt like liquid gold. We also loved savoring the rich balsamic vinegar, glazes, and three distinct wines. The first was a beautifully smooth white, followed by a crisp, mineral-forward white that became our personal favorite. We finished with a delicious red filled with rich notes of cherry and plum. What made the experience feel complete was meeting Francesco's family. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. It was an incredible day that we will always remember.

Super ervaring!

We learned a lot about olive oil production on our tour of the olive grove and the host was very informative and nice. We found the meet up point at a highway intersection quite difficult and a little sketchy to sit and wait to pick up. The tasting and lunch was delicious and we loved that they offered products to buy to take home but, admittedly, we didn’t expect it to take place back in the town of Balestrate where we’d have to street park and sit inside an apartment. The hosts were lovely and the others in our group made it all worth it.

What a wonderful experience this was. Our tour guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about his oils and wines. At the end of the tour, we were taken back to his grandparent’s home, who were the founders of the Balestrate Olive Groves. His grandmother had a beautiful table set up with olives, wines oils, Campanada, delicious bread and a variety of other appetizers. They were also so very warm and just a delight to meet. This is definitely a must !!! I’m
