Cala Gonone: 6-Metre Dinghy Rental (No Licence Required) to Explore the Gulf of Orosei

For a 19 foot dinghy you're supposed to anchor on sandy seabeds during oftentimes choppy sea conditions, you are provided a small grapnel anchor - smaller than my size 12 US foot as you'll see in the picture. We were only able to anchor without drifting at our first stop before the seas got choppy. We drifted at the rest of our stops, which caused great anxiety fearing bumping into other boats and actually crossing the buoys onto restricted zones. Charged 52 euros for gas although the gas gage fluctuated from the start of the trip and you can't see the gas pump from the boat as the gas is pumped from high on the dock. Looked at me like I was a dummie when I complained of the anchor. The coast, calas and scenery get 5 stars - I strongly recommend your own boat rental for this area as our boat rental at La Maddalena was the highlight of our trip and this area has the same potential, but 1 star provider - and I hate leaving negatives reviews and messing with people's livelihoods.

C’était magnifique de naviguer son propre bateau en autonomie. La vue sur la côte et le golfe est tout simplement à couper le souffle. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des chèvres de montagne. Malheureusement, la mer est devenu agitée vers midi et nous n’avons pas pu profiter comme il faut de l’expérience complète. Les explications pour la conduite sont ok. De meilleurs conseils aurait pu être donné pour jeter l’ancre. L’annonce spécifie un stationnement au port à 6.euros la journée, mais c’est plutôt 2 euros de l’heure. Un petit irritant. Au final nous avons apprécié l’expérience, mais avons été déçu par la température ce qui est hors de contrôle du locateur. J’ai trouvé ça un peu cher pour notre journée.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! We arrived about 10am to collect our boat, we had to park up the hill but only a 5 minute walk away. We had our boat within 15 minutes of arriving and as recommended we returned a bit earlier (3:30pm) to avoid long wait times for fuel. For this reason returning the boat was also really quick. Can’t fault this tour it was absolutely stunning

O barco é agradável, mas o abastecimento no final da atividade é muito demorado (1:30h), no meu caso a ondulação forte tornou a espera perigosa devido ao número elevado de embarcações a entrada do porto. Após pedir ao staff para resolver o problema ainda esperei mais 40 minutos. Durante a hora e meia de espera quase chocamos contra duas embarcações devido ao despreparo das pessoas e da ondulação forte, relembro que a política da empresa é danifica paga. Resumindo o barco é bom porque dá para explorar o golfo á vontade, mas a demora do staff para recolher o barco podia ter saído muito mais caro devido a possíveis danos, não aconselho a pessoas sem experiência em caso de ondulação forte.

So viel Spaß hatte ich selten an einem Tag. Man hat wirklich das Boot und die Bucht für etwa 8 Stunden „für sich“. Was ich meine, ist das man den Tag so verbringen kann, wie man möchte. Es sind natürlich hunderte von Booten unterwegs, aber das macht nichts. An einer der Buchten vor Anker zu liegen und etwas zu essen/trinken ist unglaublich. Man kann schnorcheln wo man möchte und hat die Möglichkeit, bei 5 Stränden an Land zu gehen. Nur zwei Dinge könnten besser sein: der Preis für das Benzin könnte grob angegeben werden. Wir sind nicht übermäßig viel gefahren und haben über 50€ bezahlt. Fährt man mehr kann das schnell Richtung 100€ gehen. Und das zusätzliche zu den nicht gerade günstigen Preisen. Außerdem wird einem quasi gar nichts erklärt. Ich wurde während der Fahrt von anderen Fahrern angeschrien, weil ich wohl irgendwas falsch gemacht hab. Vor allem das anlegen an einem Strand ist beim ersten Mal ein Abenteuer. Das ist aber in Summe meckern auf hohem Niveau. Absolute Empfehlung!

Il motoscafo era come da descrizione, in buone condizioni, pulito ed in ordine. L’unica pecca l’indicatore del carburante rotto, che non ha fatto una grande impressione ovviamente. Il servizio di check in é stato semplice ed agevole, i ragazzi super professionali, disponibili e simpatici Il problema è stata la consegna del gommone e la benzina. É vero, al check-in siamo stati avvisati del fatto che avrebbe potuto essere un momento critico e dimoroso, tuttavia visto il costo del noleggio, se l’orario limite di consegna fosse fissato un po’ più tardi (e non le 17:30), probabilmente ci sarebbe meno ingorgo al molo a fine giornata. Tutto sommato un’esperienza divertente. Cara ma divertente.
