Bergamo: private custom tour with a local guide

Die Tour ist insgesamt deutlich hinter unseren Erwartungen zurückgeblieben. Wir hatten eine private Tour mit Hotelabholung gebucht, leider kam der Tourguide erst nach unserem Anruf ca. 10 Min. zu spät. Die Hotelabholung war ihr offenbar nicht bekannt, so dass sie uns einen alternativen Treffpunkt nannte, zu dem wir dann kommen sollten. Sie ging mit uns zu den interessanten Orten in Bergamo und konnte uns einen Überblick über die Altstadt geben, fundiertere Informationen blieben leider aus. Für 90 EUR für 2 Stunden würden wir die Tour nicht mehr buchen.

La experiencia no estuvo a la altura de lo esperado para un tour privado. La guía nos comentó que no trabajaba habitualmente en Bérgamo y que había sido contactada como sustituta. Aunque fue amable y puso interés, apenas conocía la ciudad. De hecho, al quedarse sin batería en su móvil, tuvimos que guiarla nosotros hasta algunos puntos de interés con nuestro teléfono. No creemos que toda la responsabilidad sea suya; entendemos que aceptara el trabajo. El problema es que GetYourGuide debería asignar guías especialistas en el destino. Si nos hubieran informado de que no había disponibilidad en español y nos hubieran ofrecido un guía experto en inglés, lo habríamos aceptado sin problema. Además, la hora recomendada (17:00) hizo que varios lugares ya estuvieran cerrados. Y, al ofrecer recogida en el hotel, se perdieron unos 15 minutos caminando desde la ciudad baja. Como turistas, esperábamos que nos asesoraran sobre el mejor punto de encuentro para aprovechar al máximo el tiempo contratado

Met by Luca, who’s a really nice guy. He took us on an extensive tour throughout Città Alta in Bergamo. He has extensive knowledge of the historical past of Bergamo and the tour allowed us see lots of the beautiful architecture of the city. Città Alta is situated high up above the base city so expect some steep climbs but Luca walks at a relaxed pace. A very worthwhile and interesting experience.

Sehr gut! Rheni hat mich wunderbar durch die Città Alta geführt und mir die Geschichte Bergamos von der ersten Besiedelung bis in die Gegenwart mit sehr viel Detailwissen, vielen kleinen Geschichten und Anekdoten näher gebracht. Es war nicht nur lehrreich, sondern auch unterhaltsam. Ein solcher „Spaziergang im Dialog“ ist sehr zu empfehlen, um Bergamo kennen zu lernen.
