Due to the religious nature of the Cathedral, all individuals must cover their shoulders and knees
On Sundays (due to Sunday mass) and exceptional days for liturgical ceremonies or special Duomo holidays, we will not enter the Cathedral of Florence because of closure. Your guide will provide an explanation from outside in both cases
During Christmas, Easter periods, and liturgical celebrations, due to increased visitor traffic, the Duomo skip-the-line option is not guaranteed. As a result, you may encounter a wait before entering the Duomo

A Duomo Tour is listed in the title of this activity, but once the tour started they told us there are no Duomo Tours on Sundays. Very deceiving. They need to change the title for Sunday Tours.

Our guide, Yvonne, or similar, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and gave us time to take pictures, ask questions, enjoy what we were seeing without rushing. Highly recommend. Skipping the long snaking line at the Duomo was very nice. We didn’t spend very long inside, but that was ok as the outside was more impressive.

The tour itself was great. We got skip the line tickets to both Academia and to the Duomo. It was an extremely hot and busy summer day, so the opportunity to skip the lines and get inside were valuable. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, but he was extremely focused on art history and technique - literally to the fine details. Having two families with teenagers made it really challenging to keep focus. We didn't realize during the booking that the tour was going to be so deeply focused on art history. Unfortunately, we could not move at the pace we would've liked because of this. All in all, the tour was good, and I want to give both the tour operator and the guide the benefit of the doubt as this could've been an oversight on our part. But if you love art history, this is the tour for you!
