Family Canyoning at the Cocciglia Gorges

We had an amazing canyoning experience yesterday! As a couple in our thirties — one real daredevil and one slightly more cautious adventurer — we both had a fantastic time climbing, swimming, jumping and sliding through the beautiful surroundings. A special mention to William, who was an excellent guide from start to finish. He is knowledgeable, professional and genuinely friendly, making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable while adapting the experience to each person’s level. The equipment was great and the instructions beforehand were clear and reassuring. A perfect mix of adventure, nature, adrenaline and fun. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it!

We didn't know what to expect, but it was the highlight of our trip. The meet location has parking if you're coming by car. We came by train and it was a simple 30 min walk from the train station. They provide all the gear: wetsuit, socks, shoes, life vest and helmet. Most of the jumps were doable even for children, I found 1 to be challenging to get to but the guide is always there to help and make sure you're safe. Everything is explained ahead of each jump. our guides were very professional, knowledgeable and kept it all very fun. This was well organized, we had plenty of time on each jump and to enjoy the breath taking scenery.

We had a fantastic time! The initial instructions and the process from receiving the wetsuits and safety equipment to the safety instructions felt very smooth and practiced, and the guides and we quickly got to the starting point of the tour. The tour itself was great as well; multiple jumps (including 5m and 7m) and we never felt like we were getting rushed through any of them nor any other sections and obstacles. Our group included a few children but they had no issue with the obstacles and could always choose to opt out of any of the jumps. The difficulty wasn't very high and there are no passages where you have to downclimb a rope, but you should definitely still be confident in your footing so you don't slip on the wet stones. We did meet a few other people along the way but the section of the river didn't feel crowded at all. Overall i can absolutely recommend this activity and organizer! It's a great escape from the heat and a fun adventure even for families.

It was a really fun canyoning route. We went with a group of 4 and together with a few other groups/ families we starten the activity. Our guides (Simone, Catarina and Allesio) were really Nice and fun, and during the canyoning itself we felt they knew a lot and they could really help us, we felt safe. It was really fun and at times challenging, but everytime you had the option to do that part or not (jumps and stuff). The four of us are in our mid 20’s and there was also a family with kids, and all of us had a great time, so really an activity for everyone. 100% recommend if you are looking for a fun and exciting day (also really refreshing during hot weather).

Absolutely AMAZING, it was our first time doing this kind of activity and even though we had no prior experience jumping / diving in water, the guide Simone, has done a great job from the start teaching us the key moves, and safe ways around the Lima river, he's been charismatic, and attentive plus he took tons of photos for us. A big thanks goes to him and the rest of the team at LuccaRafting! We will surely come back to try more adventures

Es hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Unsere erste Erfahrung mit Canyoning und wir werden es auf jeden Fall wieder machen - falls es sich in Bagni di Lucca gibt, sehr gerne auch dort! Die Guides waren super nett und die Stimmung super. Alle Abläufe waren durchdacht und gut strukturiert. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir eher das Wild Rafting buchen, um unsere Tour noch etwas zu verlängern :-)
