From Salerno: Vesuvius & Pompeii with Audioguide - History & Nature Tour

1) Transfer Salerno - Pompeji: Rechtzeitige Abholung am morgen in Salerno (09:15 Uhr) sowie Rücktransfer (16:00 Uhr). 2) Betreuung: Emfpang durch Personal in Pompeji und ausführliche Einweisung in den Tagesablauf mit Zeitlinien. 3) Zeitmamagement Vesuf und Pompeji: Die Route für den Tag sowie Zeiten wurden eingehalten. Auf dem Vesuf hat die Zeit völlig ausgereicht, um alles zu sehen. In Pompeji war es für uns in Ordnung, weil wir nicht jeden Audioguide Punkt angehört haben. Somit konnten wir noch viel sehen, bevor wir um 16:00 Uhr für den Rücktransfer wieder da sein sollten.

Vesuvius and Pompeii were both exciting to see. The timeplan works out well so we has enough time everywhere. Both tickets and transport are included, so it’s a good deal. However, the first driver was supposed to pick us up at 9:15 at Salerno centrale in front of the Generali. First, he was late. Second, once he arrived he was waiting somewhere else and third, he insulted me in Italian when we arrived late to the shuttle because we were running around trying to find it. Poor communication, poor customer service, poor start to our experience.

Accidentally got on the wrong coach to Pompeii as at our time slot, there was only one coach going to Pompeii, so ours must have been late. Once getting on the coach, we received messages asking where we are followed by instructions on where to go when we arrive in Pompeii in order to begin our experience. All the staff spoke English well, were friendly and extremely helpful. As a whole, the trip was organised well and we were taken care of. We were really impressed by the fact that they contact you when you have missed the coach. We definitely felt well taken care of.

Es kommt auf die eigene Erwartung an. Bei diesem Programm erhält man einen gut organisierten Transport zum Vesuv und nach Pompeji. Betreuung gibt es de facto keine, aber natürlich überall entsprechende Anweisungen die ausreichen. Pompeji nur mit dem Audioguide würde ich nicht mehr machen, da es sehr groß und unübersichtlich ist und man in viele Häuser nicht hineinkommt. Mit dem Audioguide hört man zwar wie schön dieses und jenes Haus ist, dass es außergewöhnliche Mosaike oder Malereien gibt, aber das nützt nichts, wenn man vor verschlossenen Toren steht und diese nicht sieht. Beim deutschen Audioguide waren auch Programmpunkte durcheinander oder manche nicht vorhanden.

It was a good day out, I really enjoyed seeing Mt Vesuvius and visiting Pompeii.I was disapointed with the transport, although it was cool and comfortable the pick up van from Salerno was late. Another traveller called the number on his documents and there was no answer. Some guy zoomed into the area and jumped out asked us where we were going and just said lets go.The driver to and from Mt Vesuvius was a little erratic, at times I felt a little unsafe with his driving.
