Authentic Milanese Home Cooking Class: Learn and Savor Traditional Flavors

It was an amzing cooking class. We started by learning how to make tiramisu so that it could rest in the fridge long enough. It was easier than we had expected, and it turned out amazing! Then we learned how to make dough for homemade pasta. Of course, only a few ingredients were necessary, but we learned some secret tips and techniques that Chiara had learned from her grandmother. After making beautiful tagliatelle, Chiara showed us how to prepare a simple but delicious ragù variation with salsiccia. After all the cooking, it was wonderful to taste our own creation. It turned out very well and made for a fantastic meal. Besides everything we learned and the fun we had cooking, it was also lovely to get to know Chiara. She was an amazing host. We had great conversations about our lives, and the wine that accompanied the whole experience was the cherry on top of a perfect day. The host Chiara was amazing! I would say this one the most fun experience I've had in any of my trips. She invited us to a lovely Milanese home, architecture and intererior both beautiful. Making pasta and tiramisu from scratch was so much fun, and it tasted amazing too. I can't wait to try it back at home. Chiara was also so sweet to give us her recommendation around Milan. We had such a great time at this cooking class in Milan! Chiara, our host, was amazing — super friendly, welcoming, and fun from start to finish. The class took place in her home, which made the whole experience feel really cozy and special. It was also so interesting to get a glimpse into how locals live. We were paired with another group, which made it even more enjoyable — everyone was so easygoing and we loved meeting new people along the way. And yes… unlimited wine definitely didn’t hurt! 🍷 We made tiramisu together as a group (so delicious!) and also learned how to prepare homemade pasta with a rich Bolognese sauce. Both dishes turned out incredibly well, and we can’t wait to try recreating them at home. Overall, such a fun and memorable experience. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Milan who wants to try something a bit different, meet new people, and enjoy authentic local food!

Our host Chiara was very kind, friendly and open minded. She was very charming and warm hearted to all of us, especially to my son (12 years old), who accompanied me. As the cooking class was taking place in her home, not e.g. in a cooking school, the atmosphere was even more authentic, comfortable and hospitable. Chiara was also very patient in showing and teaching us all the necessary preparation steps etc. We had a lot of fun, nice conversation and our meal was absolutely delicious :-)

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend zusammen mit unserer Gastgeberin Chiara. In ihrer privaten Wohnung haben wir uns dem typischen italienischen Leben direkt etwas näher gefühlt. Total charmant und mit sehr viel Hingabe hat Chiara uns ihr Leidenschaft etwas näher gebracht. Gemeinsam hatten wir super viel Spaß und gute Unterhaltungen in einer ganz entspannten Atmosphäre. Im Vorhinen hatte Chiara sich mit mir ausgetauscht, bzgl. Allergien und unseren bevorzugten Wein. Die Organisation hat super geklappt und bei einem Anliegen, konnte ich mich direkt bei ihr melden. Das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Wir waren begeistert und werden den gemeinsamen Abend in Erinnerung behalten. Den Kurs können wir nur jedem weiter empfehlen!
