Uffizi Gallery Timed-Entry Ticket with Digital Audio Guide

We were told to be there at 8:45. Guide didn’t show up until 8:42. My tickets showed an entry time of 8:15 and 8:30. I was not turned away but I was concerned. We were not given the information to download until we met the guide. My husband did not have internet so how do you download now?? The guide tried to tell me that I information was on the website where I purchased the ticket. We looked at it together……nope, not there. His friend allowed my husband to use him as a personal hotspot to do the download. What’s the problem with getting the information to us the day before?? The second floor was a zoo and the guides felt that they should be allowed to use the space not allowing others to get close enough to just take a picture. The first floor was much less crowded and more enjoyable viewing.

This is a great ticket option for anyone who wants to wander through this incredible museum at their own pace. The audio guide (as well as googling anything there isn't an audio file for) gives you a great experience. We booked the earliest time slot possible and it worked in our favour, as the big lines didn't start building up until later.

Paying a little more for an initial escort was well worth it for me. Having someone direct me to right place with a paper ticket provided, eased the stress of what is a very busy tourist sight with lots of different queues and ticket offices. I couldn’t use the audio log in on my phone phone as my phone was too old to download the app, but all the paintings in the gallery do have little posters with details/ description.

We missed the entire bottom section of the gallery because we thought the cafe was the stopping point of this gallery. Apparently this is not it. We rushed out through the entire bottom level looking for an exit - the entire place looked like a maze. The tour guide just installed some app on our phones and let us go in. The app didn’t work because the WiFi is very poor inside the building. My advice to you! Save your money and buy tickets directly from the gallery rather than paying the middle man.
