Mount Etna and Taormina Full-Day Excursion from Palermo

C'était vraiment top ! Le voyage était long mais très tranquille, et le guide Floriano mérite un 10/10. Initialement, il était prévu de visiter le volcan en premier puis Taormine mais n raison d'un imprévu, l'ordre a été inversé : nous avons fait Taormine d'abord, puis le volcan. Je suis super contente de ce changement car juste après notre passage à Taormine, énormément de monde est arrivé et de très longues files d'attente se sont formées. Avec le temps dont on disposait sur place, je n'aurais pas pu visiter le théâtre antique sans cette modification. Je vous recommande vivement cette excursion !

The tour was very well organised, leaving on time, with plenty of information on the itinerary of the day from our guide, and a coffee stop along the way. Taormina was a pleasant, albeit busy stop, but definitely worth checking out the theatre whilst you’re there. A nice little break (we went on the way due to I think road block towards Etna rather than after Etna). Once arriving to the mountain (the coach goes around 2500m up), the options were outlined clearly by the guide: quad bikes, cable car, or walk around a crater. Worth noting the cable car, quad biking and crater walk cost is not included, we did the cable car for €54pp, cheapest option being the crater walk for just €5. At each point, the meeting time was clear, and the coach was easy to find. All in all, it’s a long day but definitely worth doing to see Etna and Taormina from the west coast.

À cause d'un surbooking de l'organisateur, nous n'avons pas voyagé dans un car "luxueux et confortable" mais dans un mini van, très serrés, en écoutant Radio Montecarlo à tue-tête pendant la 1ère heure. Pas de marche-pied et nous devions aider certaines personnes à monter et descendre. À cause d'un accident (indépendant de votre volonté) le trajet de retour à duré 3 heures dans ce véhicule très inconfortable, absolument pas adapté pour un long trajet. Sur place, les 2 heures à Taormina sont insuffisantes pour aller jusqu'au théâtre. Nous avons dû nous contenter de la rue principale de la ville. Avis general: plutôt decevant.

Really great tour - our guide Floriano and driver Salvatore were excellent. Floriano speaks 5 languages and our driver was able to get us home safely even after a large diversion due to a separate accident on the way home. Our guide was so knowledgable about everything on the tour and able to help us figure out the best activities for us to do with the allotted time specific for us! It’s super well organised and Taormina was especially gorgeous to walk around the old town.

It was just an ride to Etna and Taormina. Guide spoke maybe ten sentences over the whole trip in poor english. After getting to places you are on your own for about 2 hours. The biggest dissapoint, for me as solo traveler, was mention from the guide that quad ride costs 70€, but when I came to the quad place, the guy said that quad costs 140€. 70€ is per person and if you are solo you could maybe be passenger for that money or pay 140€ to ride alone.

Super sprawa jeżeli jesteś w Palermo ale chcesz zobaczyć Etnę. Dobrze zorganizowany transport. Komfortową podróż bez stresowania się jak dojechać i gdzie zaparkować. Na Etnie mieliśmy do wyboru 1 z 3 atrakcji (dodatkowo płatne). Następnie czas wolny w Taorminie. Tu niestety przydałaby się dodatkowa godzina na zwiedzanie. Z uwagi na dojazd, jest to długa wycieczka. Mimo wszystko bardzo się cieszę że udało mi się zobaczyć Etnę i Taormone.
