The Godfather Sicily Tour from the Taormina Area

One of the best tours we did in Sicily. Savoca is beautiful and perfectly preserved, and visiting it with a local guide who knows all the stories behind The Godfather made it so much more special. The tour was well paced, not rushed at all. We learned so much about the filming locations, Coppola, and real Sicilian life. The stop at Bar Vitelli was iconic and the views from the village are incredible. Small group, great communication from pickup to drop-off. Het was een superleuke tour met Fabio, die veel vertelde over het o staan van de mafia en de Siciliaanse geschiedenis. Zelfs wist hij feite te vertellen die ik nog niet eerder wist! Ondertussen van het ene naar t andere bergdorp genoten van de prachtige vergezichten. Echt geweldig om de filmlocaties "live" te zien. Een geweldige tour en niet alleen voor de Godfather fan.

This was honestly one of the most memorable experiences of my birthday. Visiting Savoca and Forza d’Agrò and seeing the places connected to The Godfather was something I enjoyed every minute of, and it’s definitely going to stay in my head as one of those special birthday memories. A big shoutout to our guide, Alexendra. She was clear, friendly, and awesome at communicating with everyone. She always made sure everyone was on board before we left or moved to the next location. She was kind, patient, and genuinely made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. And who can forget our big bus driver, Angelo! 😄 Watching him navigate those insanely tight and almost impossible hairpin curves around Savoca and Forza d’Agrò was something else. He was skilled like an F1 driver, but steady and patient enough to leave space for oncoming vehicles. He would wave, thank people, and show so much humility and gratitude on the road. If patience was a person, it would definitely be Angelo! 😂

The guide, (Fabio's) knowledge, interpretations and explanations of not only the Godfather filming locations but of the villages and countryside was superb. He delivered his information in both English and German very well. He provided advice on local sights and areas of interest in Taormina where we started from, that was helpful too. There is nothing that we can think of that needed improvement to the tour.
