Milan Tour: Da Vinci's Last Supper, Duomo & La Scala

The only enjoyable part was the Last Supper. The Tourguide was NOT someone who should be conducting tours. The language barrier was too great and her voice constantly changes volume as she moves the mic all over while hand gesturing. The comments from many others on the tour were equally displeased. Pretty much a total waste of our time and money. Had the Last Supper been the first part of the tour instead of at the end, I believe the entire group would have left early. I would not recommend this tour to anyone.

Before commencement of the tour i requested a specific end point in order to pick up my husband at the completion of the tour. I explained to the you guide that he suffers rom some dementia, but would be fine and I would meet him at the end. When the tour group arrived at the designated meeting point my husband was not there. I asked the guide what had happened. “ I left him outside the La Scala Theatre. He wouldn’t go in when I asked him to.” She then turned to the remainder of the group and said “ you saw me, didn’t. You?” I questioned her duty of care and she said she didn’t have one. I asked for her id and registration number, which she claimed she didn’t have as she was “ not registered and freelance and worked for Xena”. She did agree to me taking a photo of here lanyard card. She terminated the discussion and walked away as I said “ he had beef in Milan for 1 and a half hours before joining the tour, sparks no Italian and you don’t give a shit” she disappeared into the museum.

Die Tour erschien uns interessant, weil der reibungslose Besuch der Scala, des Duomo und des Abendmahls gesichert erschien - und zu guter Letzt Informationen zwischen den Stationen zu erwarten waren. Was uns dann zum Preis von 119€ p. P. präsentiert wurde, war erbärmlich. In der Scala fanden Proben statt, sodass man lediglich in einer dunklen Kabine hinter Glas einen Blick auf die Bühne bekam. Das Ganze unter Zeitdruck. Genügend Zeit gab es dann im Museum. Erzählt wurde was eh ersichtlich war oder auf Plaketten stand. Im Dom fand die Zeremonie statt, in der der Nagelgeholt wurde. Kein Zutritt für Gruppen, für Einzelpersonen sehr wohl. Was wir zwischen den Stationen erfuhren, hatten wir uns bereits angelesen.

A really excellent tour and a great way to see some of Milan’s absolute highlights in one go. The Duomo was spectacular, La Scala fascinating, the Galleria beautiful, and seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper was the real highlight. Everything was well organised and the guide (Maximo) was knowledgeable, friendly and easy to listen to, giving us plenty of interesting background without overwhelming us with information. We covered a lot, but the tour never felt rushed. A very enjoyable experience and an ideal way to see the best of Milan, particularly if you only have a limited amount of time in the city. Highly recommended.

Die Tour war für uns die einzige Option, um das Letzte Abendmahl zu sehen. Daher haben wir gebucht. Die Tour enthielt aber auch noch das Ticket, um einen Blick in die Oper zu werfen und den Dom zu besuchen, was beides sehenswert ist; genau wie das Letzte Abendmahl. Die Tour war hauptsächlich zu Fuß. Der Guide Massimo weigerte sich während wir gingen, zu sprechen, sondern nur, wenn wir anhielten, obwohl dann der Audioguide keinen Sinn macht. Er hatte kein Ersatzgerät dabei, als ein Gast ein Problem mit seinem Audioguide hatte. Er stellte eine junge Frau bloss, er kam einem Pärchen zu nah, als diese sich küssten, er beleidigte Franzosen, er motze mich an, als mein Audioguide seine Stimme nicht übertrug. Der Guide war extrem unangenehm und hat mir die Freude an der Tour ziemlich verdorben. Er gab gelegentlich sinnvolle, interessante Infos, aber oft waren seine Infos oberflächlich und uninteressant.
