Lake Como: Self-Drive Boat Rental Without a License

This was the slowest boat we have ever driven. we could hardly get over waves when big boats passed us. We enjoyed being able to get through some of the lake but we couldn't anchor so it was hard to let the kids jump in and swim. The lake is not as nice as we expected and sure thought our boat could get us everywhere. We timed our drive out so we could make it back in time. Almost made it to Bellagio. We did at least make it to the Nesso bridge for the teens to swim up and jump in...we would not rent our own boat next time. We would rent a boat with a driver also we could have a bigger motor and better experience.
