We booked a colosseum tour and selected an early morning time to see the colosseum before the mid day heat and crowds. Palantine Hill and Roman Forum are the add on, not the main feature. We were disappointed the Colosseum was not the first part of the tour. In fact, we barely saw it. The guide was so worried about staying in the shade that we were inside the building more than we got to see the open area. The only positive was we were a small group as selected. The colosseum should have been the priority. We shouldn't have had to explore the other areas if we didn't want to do that. We booked Colosseum, not Palantine Hill. The guide was terrible, and focused on his interests and comfort vs the interests of the group.
