   We dive into the gastronomic heart of the city. In this 11th-century market square, you’ll weave through medieval stone porticos where locals have shopped for a millennium. We will taste the legendary Cecina (chickpea flatbread) served hot from a traditional wood-fired oven and meet the third-generation vendors who keep Pisa’s culinary traditions alive.

   Piazza dei Cavalieri

   Formerly the political center of Pisa and a masterpiece of the architect Vasari. We will admire the intricate "sgraffito" facade of the Scuola Normale and discuss the chilling legend of the "Hunger Tower" mentioned by Dante. This square serves as our quiet, intellectual bridge between the bustling market and the wine cellars.

   Piazza dei Miracoli

   The highlight of our morning. We retreat to a private, historic wine cellar to taste the rare wines of the Terre di Pisa micro-region. You’ll learn why coastal Tuscan wines have a character all their own. Each glass is paired with a curated selection of local Pecorino cheeses and Tuscan charcuterie, sourced directly from the market we just visited.

   Leaning Tower of Pisa

   The grand finale. We emerge from the narrow medieval streets into the stunning expanse of the Square of Miracles. You will see the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery, and the Cathedral. I will show you the best angles for photos away from the crowds and explain the engineering mystery of the tower’s tilt, leaving you perfectly placed to explore the monuments at your own pace.
