   In the medieval town of Roccaporena where there were about 73 citizens in 2001 there is the Sanctuary of S. Rita where it was born. In 1939 the Opera di Santa Rita was founded in his memory to promote his cult.

   Monastero di Santa Rita da Cascia

   Originally it was composed only of a monastery and a small church which housed the remains of Santa Rita. Already at the time his works were famous all over the world, for this reason the monastery is still a destination for many pilgrims in the world.
