   The tour may start at either of two starting locations: P.za della SS. Annunziata, 13, in front of the Monumento Equestre a Granduca Ferdinando I de’ Medici. Your guide will meet you there and prepare you for the skip-the-line entry to the Accademia Gallery.

   Galleria dell'Accademia

   Enter the Galleria dell’Accademia, one of the most visited museums in Florence. Your guide leads you through the gallery as you make your way toward its most famous masterpiece, explaining the context of the visit as described in the tour.

   Stop 3

   15min

   When you enter the hall that holds the iconic Statue of David, you will immediately notice the statue’s impressive height, smooth surface, and determined expression, capturing the moment before David faced Goliath. Your guide will explain how Michelangelo carved David from a block of Carrara marble that other artists avoided and why the statue’s proportions appear unusual. You will also have time to observe the masterpiece closely and take photos.
