   Overlooking the lake on an enormous cliff is another important example of Slovenian cultural heritage, the 1000-year-ago Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. The castle’s terrace offers stunning views of Lake Bled and the picturesque countryside that surrounds it.
