The Cathedral may be closed for liturgical reasons without notice

The Baptistery is undergoing restoration of the mosaics of the vault.

Every first Sunday of the month the Baptistery will close at 2.00 pm.

The Museum is closed on the first Tuesday of each month.

Bell tower is under restoration from 11th till 15th November 24 and can not be visited during these days. Bell tower is under restoration from 3rd till 7th February 25 and can not be visited during these days.

For visits through December 31, 2026, Giotto’s Bell Tower and Santa Reparata Crypt are included. For visits from January 1, 2027, these two sites will no longer be included, following changes to the venue’s ticketing arrangements. - Your reserved Brunelleschi’s Dome climb and Cathedral access remain included. The Cathedral can be visited independently once on any of the 3 calendar days covered by your ticket, subject to opening hours and religious services. The ticket price remains unchanged.
