At the side, we will find the "Grotta Iannarella", also known as the "Cave of the Heart" because at the bottom there is carved, in the rock, just the outline of a heart.    The lighthouse of Punta Carena is the second largest in Italy for lighting power (after Genoa), as well as being one of the oldest: the first time it was lit in 1867. The Lighthouse is always a quiet place, away from the routes of mass tourism, the best time to appreciate its magic is at sunset, in fact this is one of the few points on the coast where you can watch the sun set in the sea.
