   Spanish Steps

   Piazza di Spagna is one of the most famous squares in Rome, famous for its spectacular staircase of Trinità dei Monti, which connects the square to the church of the same name at the top. At the center of the square is the Fontana della Barcaccia, built by Pietro and Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the seventeenth century. The square owes its name to the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See, located nearby. It is a popular meeting point for tourists and Romans, a symbol of the elegance and charm of the Eternal City.

   Trevi Fountain

   The Trevi Fountain is the largest and one of the most famous fountains in Rome. Built in the eighteenth century to a design by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini, it is a masterpiece of the late Baroque. At the center of the fountain dominates the statue of Ocean on a shell-shaped cart pulled by sea horses. According to tradition, throwing a coin into the fountain ensures the return to Rome. With its grandeur and scenic beauty, the Trevi Fountain is one of the most iconic symbols of the city.

   Pantheon

   The Pantheon of Rome is one of the best preserved ancient monuments in the city. Built in 27 a.C. and rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian in the second century AD.C., was originally a temple dedicated to all deities. Famous for its majestic hemispherical dome with an open central oculus, the Pantheon is a masterpiece of Roman engineering. Since the seventh century it has been transformed into a Christian church and today houses the tombs of illustrious people, such as Raphael. It is one of the most visited and fascinating places in Rome.

   Piazza Navona

   Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful and lively squares in Rome, famous for its elongated shape that follows the ancient Stadium of Domitian. At the center is the splendid Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, a masterpiece by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, flanked by two other fountains: the Fontana del Moro and the Fontana del Nettuno. The square is surrounded by elegant Baroque palaces, among which the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone stands out. Today it is a place animated by street artists, cafes and markets, symbol of Baroque Rome and city life.
