   The Venice Ghetto is located in the Cannaregio district, very close to the city centre. This was the area where Jews were forced to live during the 16th and 17th centuries. It is the first Jewish quarter of its kind, making it the oldest Jewish quarter in the world.

   Rialto is an area in the Venetian sestiere of San Polo, known for its markets and the Rialto Bridge. The area was established in the 9th century, when a small area in the middle of the Realtine islands on either side of the Businiacus River was known as the Rivoaltus, the "high bank".
