St. Mark's Basilica Tour with Doge's Palace Option

Tour bellissimo.

I had a truly unforgettable experience on the St. Mark’s Basilica & Doge’s Palace Fast‑Access Tour! The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, bringing Venice’s history and artistry to life. Skipping the long lines made the visit stress‑free and maximised our time inside the stunning Basilica and Palace. The blend of architecture, mosaics, and the stories behind the Bridge of Sighs was awe‑inspiring. The optional Murano glass‑making demo was the perfect cherry on top — highly recommend!

We didn’t actually get to enjoy the tour. We had trouble finding where to meet up. It says in the description to meet under the winged lion. We had no idea there were so many winged lions! So be sure to stand under the single winged lion on a column at the entrance to San Marco Piazza. Right next to Doge’s Palace. With the confusion of finding them we were quite late and couldn’t go with the group. But they did give us our tickets so we got to go through them. However we should have just bought tickets instead of a tour. But it was nice that our tickets were skip the line, the line to buy tickets was really long. Thank you to the two tour guides who did try to help us out once we caught up to them.

For as long as this tour was, I learned pretty little. The tour guide kept repeating the same generic information over and over again, each time adding no more color than the last. She was a friendly person, but didn’t seem to have any depth of knowledge about the subjects at hand. I would not recommend this tour, particularly given the price.
