Our tour guide made the experience wonderful. Our only disappointment was that the Duomo terrace access was not part of the tour. This was only shared with our group as we walked by the Duomo when it was made clear that public access is not allowed on Sunday’s. Be aware that if you book this tour on a Sunday it will not include interior and terrace access to the Duomo.

Highly recommended! We did this walking tour in Florence with Patricia that covered the major highlights — the Statue of David, the Duomo, the Baptistery of Santa Maria del Fiore, San Lorenzo, Palazzo Vecchio, and the story of the Medici family and their impact on art and the city. What set this tour apart wasn’t just the sites, but the way our guide, Patrizia, brought them to life. Patrizia is a true Florentine, born and raised here, and it shows. She’s clearly an expert in both art and history, but what made the tour special were the local stories she shared — the kind you won’t hear from most guides. She talked about the reality of everyday life in Florence, from how ordinary people were affected by the decisions of the powerful families and figures who shaped the city for centuries to the horrors of the mafia during a very dark period. These details gave the tour a depth and honesty that went far beyond the usual tourist narrative. Thorough, knowledgeable, and engaging!

My husband and I really enjoyed the David & Duomo tour. The view from the Duomo was worth the climb and the art at the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze was unmatched. We felt like we weren’t rushed and could really enjoy our time. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and easy to follow. It was the highlight of our trip to Florence. Highly recommend!

June 17, we participated in a private tour of the Accedemia Galleria and Duomo. The cost was well worth bypassing the long lines and getting VIP access to several areas or the Duomo. Our guide Agnus was very informative and provided much detail to the sculptures/art in the Galleria, including "David". The tour included access to the upper floors within the Duomo, giving us up close views of the frescos in addition, access to outside terraces overlooking the Florence city. It was a memorable experience for us!

This was a great activity. The pace was perfect and our guide provided much more background than we expected. We had an age range of 18 to 78 in our group so the flexibility of choice on the climb was key for us. We had two not club at all, one go to the terrace and two go all the way to the top. One thing to be aware of is that you are not at the accedemia prior to opening, though the guide does escort you well through the crowds and expedites the line.
