Puglia by Vespa: 3-Hour Tour of Polignano a Mare, Conversano and Monopoli

Giuseppe was the best tour guide and the Vespas were immaculate. We was looking forward to this tour and it was even better than we expected. Driving through vineyards and coastal roads, and visiting two little towns which were stunning. The old local bakery in Conversano added a lovely experience and we even purchased some goods that we later had at the beach. Monopoli was also a lovely treat with a nice gelato. The car park was safe and secure and they also sold drinks for after the tour. Would definitely do a longer tour next time. If you want any advice on the area of Puglia, where to go, where to eat speak to Giuseppe he really did recommend some great places.

Het was hartstikke leuk om te doen! We waren met 6 personen + gids; 4 Vespa's in totaal. De gids vertelde onderweg over de omgeving, maar (gelukkig) niet overdreven veel. De stops bij zowel de bakkerij als de ijssalon waren heel leuk. We hebben er echt van genoten. Aanrader! Je moet wel écht kunnen rijden trouwens! (zoals ze vooraf ook aangeven)

We had to change our tour at the last minute, and I really appreciated that the organisers were happy to accommodate the change. We were picked up from the agreed meeting point in the morning and taken into the city, where we had free time to explore throughout the day. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, the driver did not turn up to collect us as arranged. There was also another woman on the tour who had been left behind by the organiser. I found this very disappointing and disrespectful, especially as we were relying on the arranged transport to return. Overall, I appreciated the flexibility shown at the beginning, but the experience at the end of the day was very frustrating and could have been handled much better.

Today, me and my mam did the 3 hour tour of polignano, conversano and monopoli with Giuseppe. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Stopped to visit a 1920s bakery in conversano and had gelato in monopoli. As novices on a scooter; Giuseppe went at a great pace for us, he was very knowledgeable and understanding - an overall great tour guide!
