Tuscany: Truffle Hunting Experience with Guided Tasting

Wij hebben een ontzettend leuke en leerzame ochtend gehad. Eerst met de hondjes het bos in gegaan op zoek naar truffels. We hebben er 5 gevonden! Toen we terug keerde stonden er al heerlijke hapjes klaar met producten die ze zelf hebben gemaakt en ook verkopen in hun winkel. We hebben ook nog gekozen voor een lunch met natuurlijk onze eigen gevonden truffel. We zijn ontzettend vriendelijk ontvangen. Zeker een aanrader. Dit zijn mensen met een prachtig familiebedrijf niet een of andere tour guide. X Nora & Rick

We thoroughly enjoyed this outing and the lunch afterwards. First, San Miniato is beautiful and gave us a starting to point to later drive through a stretch of spectacular Tuscany countryside without the throngs of tourists. Morgan was a wonderful guide and the bonding between him (a fourth generation truffle hunter) and his dog Pipo was obvious and fun to watch. He and Pipo found five black truffles (the rarer white truffles not in season) walking on a path along a forest. Monica also has long experience in the truffle hunting world and buys truffles from Morgan. At the lunch after (we highly advise this add-on), we got to taste our own just-collected truffles over pasta, along with local wine and other treats. The enthusiasm these two have for their trade is obvious, and this felt like a truly authentic look into that world. Highly recommend!

This was such an amazing experience. From the initial greeting both Monica and Ricardo were so pleasant and happy. Having the opportunity to hike through the beautiful forest was fantastic. This is in addition to experiencing the incredible dogs, Mys and Bilba, learning about the mysterious truffles, the history of the region. Best day of our trip so far. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience! We found a few truffles - black and white - during our hunt and Monica made a delicious pasta with fresh truffles that we just found! I wanted to do something unique and special for my birthday. This was definitely very memorable. Riccardo and Monica are very nice hosts and make you feel like home. I’ve been to Italy many times but this experience stood out. Highly recommend!
