Giovanna (sorry if I spelt wrong!) was a great host, patiently leading us around the backstreets, giving some history and taking us to some amazing places to try local food and drink - everything I tried was fantastic. I very much recommend this tour to anyone visiting Venice, it really gave us confidence to visit others Bacaros and taste more cicchetti and the local spritz. We met two lovely American couples on the same tour, I wish I remembered to get those photos you took - would have been great to keep a picture of our group!

Our tour was amazing, with guide Giada/Jade. She quickly made our group of 8 feel comfortable and off we went walking thru Venice to various bácaros. We had red/white wine with cicchetti at stop 1- toast with sun-dried tomato, fried meat ball, and pickled shrimp and onions then stop 2 followed a traghero ride across the canal where we had polenta, fried seafood and prosecco then to stop 3 with Soave wine and bacala samples then to stop 4 with various spritz’s and tramezino sandwiches. Then to desert with tiramisu and a sweet desert wine. All of this with a very entertaining and informed guide. She provided specific tips for various eateries in the different city area. The best tour!!

We really enjoyed our small group tour with Intrepid. Our tour guide Camella (sp) took us to interesting small bars and shops where the local Venetians meet after work & on weekends. She was very informative and friendly. The variety of food and wine was fantastic. We highly recommend this tour as a first up in Venice.

Unser Guide Georgia hat uns sowohl in kleinere versteckte eher authentische Cichette-Bars geführt als auch in ein junges Seafood Lokal und eine familiengeführte Snack Bar mit modernen Interpretation klassischer Cichette. Überall gab sie uns interessante Infos und Kontext, d.h. sowohl historische Fakten zu Venedigs Geschichte, den Orten als auch zu Ursprung und Herstellung der Gerichte und bspw. des Weins. Die Tour war zwar nicht gerade günstig, aber ich muss sagen, sie war jeden Cent wert! 😊 (Wenn man kein Fleisch isst, ist das kein Problem darauf für Rücksicht genommen und es gibt genug Alternativen).
