Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Basilica Early Morning Tour

The price we paid was absolutely way too high. Unfortunately, on such short notice no other tour was bookable except through Headout, which in our view was taken financial advantage of. On top of that, we paid an extra surcharge for GERMAN, which was available during the online booking!! Then the guided tour was, OF COURSE!! in English! In the FINE PRINT on the confirmation it said: English only, which is too late once you've already paid!! Unfortunately, we understood very little, which was very disappointing even though the tour guide was very nice and friendly.

The guide left my daughter and her baby in the museum after she ushered everyone else out. She had to beg the security people to let her leave because she was told she couldn't leave the museum with out her guide. This is irresponsible and totally unacceptable. I will not use your company again. I forget what the guide's name is but my name is Kim Zdon you should be able to look her up.

Very disappointed in the whole experience.. I booked an early morning tour hoping to get access to the Basilica or the Chapel early. The tour was moved from 7.15am to 7.45, right after the cut-off to cancel for free... on the day, we started at 8am because of administrative mistakes that delayed us. We went straight to the dome so didn't make full use of our early start to see the most crowded areas. The dome is very nice to see though! The rest of the visit was spent barely being able to walk in the crowds... so much for an early morning visit. I would add that we were more than the 20 people promised. Our guide was also very slow, half of the group left before the end because we didn't need another break to sit down. (I personally left amongst the first after 4.5h tour and we were not close to being done). Overall, is it worth visiting? YES! Is it worth booking this specific tour? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

We loved the Basilica and church. Tour guide was excellent with great info. The Vatican museum and Sistine chapel was over crowded and by the time we got to the Sistine chapel we couldn't stare at the ceiling without out getting proded by the room stewereds. Do not recommend the museum / Sistine chapel. Was not aware had to shuffle thru the museum to get to the Sistine chapel.

The guided walking tour at the St Peter's Basilica, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was memorable. Simona, our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and considerate. She answered all our questions and gave us a lot of interesting facts during the tour. The bluetooth headset used was also audibly clear and comfortable to wear although it does work outside a certain range away from our guide. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. We took the early morning tour at 7:15am. We went first to the basilica. I highly rexommend this tour as there were less people when we entered the church and I was personally awestruck and bewildered as I entered. Simona gave us a few minutes to explore by ourselves. It was a magnificent church and full of history. When we were at the end of the tour, it was almost 12 noon. We went out and saw a very long queue of people. Taking the early tour was the best decision made.
