Twilight Food Tour in Trastevere: Authentic Flavors & Roman History

Loved walking around the neighbourhood. The porchetta sandwich was EPIC, hands down best I’ve had. Felt a bit rushed at two places but our guide Rosa kept the energy up. Go hungry, for real.

Solid tour! Met fun people, got to try real local stuff (the fried artichokes, wow). Lost track of how many glasses of wine we had. Some streets were sooo narrow—almost lost my group lol. Didn’t love the gelato, but everything else was top.

Booked this for my birthday and it was everything I wanted. Our group was small (just 7 ppl) which was nice. The pasta shop was my fav, and the tiramisu at the end was UNREAL. Guide even sang happy birthday (slightly off-key, but 10/10 effort). Don’t eat before you go, you’ll regret it!

Food was great, wine was better. Some of the stories felt a bit rehearsed but still fun. Shoutout to our guide for helping my friend find a pharmacy after she twisted her ankle—legend. Streets get crowded, keep an eye on your stuff.

My partner and I LOVED this. We’re both vegetarians and the guide, Ana, made sure we always had options. The pizza stop was our fav, especially because you get to see them make it. Got a little drizzle halfway but honestly just made it more memorable. Would do again.

Went solo and ended up making friends with two other travelers, which was cool. LOVED the wine bar, could’ve stayed there all night honestly. Guide had so much energy. Also they had gluten free options for me—big win. Bring comfy shoes, lots of walking.

Such a fun evening! Our guide, Riccardo, knew EVERYBODY in the neighborhood. It felt like we were getting the inside scoop. Lots of laughs, tons of food (seriously, don’t eat lunch), and the wine was flowing. Would absolutely recommend.

Went with my wife and sister. The first stop, the cheese plate, was our fav. Did get a bit warm walking between spots but there’s shade most of the time.

Fantastic tour - great food, really interesting stops, incredibly knowledgeable guide who tied it all together. Seeing the city from the back of the golf cart was also a very different perspective. Thoroughly recommend.

Took my teenage kids and they actually ENJOYED it, which is saying something. Pizza was a hit with my son, and my daughter loved the gelato. Guide threw in some fun facts—did you know about the cats in the old ruins? Worth it for families!

Best date night idea! We joined a small group and immediately felt welcome. The pasta was sooo fresh and the stories about the area were fascinating. If you like local vibes, this is for you.

Went with a bunch of uni friends, was a BLAST. The group vibe was so fun, and the last stop had the best tiramisu I’ve EVER had. Guide was super patient with our jokes and kept us all on track. Book this if you want a night out with food and laughs.

Fun experience but bring water—was HOT the day we went. The fried zucchini flowers were a surprise hit and the red wine was delicious. Guide kept us moving and cracked lots of jokes. Would do again in cooler weather.

Guiseppe gave us a wonderful tour of Trastevere during our food Tour! He was funny, kind, caring and personable! We loved his energy, vibe and of course all of the food, wine and beer along the way! We travelled from Canada as a family of five, including two children and it was a very memorable part of our trip to Rome!
