Pompeii & Herculaneum Guided Tour with Transfers: Ancient Roman Cities Unveiled

Great trip. Clear instructions all day with timings. Easy transfer from Naples and between the sites. Antonio our guide was fantastic - loved his enthusiasm through our tour. It was busy but he knew the places to go to give us opportunity to see everything If you go in summer please bear in mind it's very hot and a lot of walking! Take hats / sun umbrellas. Take a re fillable bottle as plenty of fountains around the sites

The guide was good (can't remember his name..maybe Micheal) he is also an archaeologist. His explanations and descriptions of the 2 sites are so thorough. Really enjoy the day. My only grief is that the meeting point. You shouldn't put as the main train station but in front of the Starhotel Terminus, across the street from the train station.

Questo tour è fondamentalmente un servizio di viaggio tra Pompei, il Vesuvio ed Ercolano. Siamo stati portati al Vesuvio e lasciati lì - ci è stato detto di incontrare l'autobus a una determinata ora. C'è stata una notevole confusione su quale autobus salire - l'autista era molto confuso. Poi siamo stati lasciati a Ercolano con un'audioguida che era totalmente separata dai numeri di Ercolano, quindi quando la si ascoltava non corrispondeva al luogo in cui ci si trovava. Siamo tornati all'autobus all'ora che ci era stata indicata. La compagnia ha sbagliato a contare il numero dei partecipanti, quindi abbiamo dovuto sederci e aspettare 15 minuti in più. L'autista non era contento e ci ha riportato a Pompei in modo poco sicuro (130 km/h) in autostrada con un minibus sgangherato. Poi siamo stati lasciati a Pompei con l'audioguida che doveva essere riconsegnata entro le 5.30 per poter riavere il proprio documento. Una compagnia estremamente disorganizzata e troppo costosa per pagare il trasporto e i biglietti d'ingresso. Ci siamo divertiti a scalare il Vesuvio e a girare per Pompei ed Ercolano senza audioguide.

L'introduzione al tour da parte di un membro del team è stata molto noiosa e poco informativa. Non c'è una guida ma una macchina per Pompei. Il contenuto di questa macchina è minimo, solo 2 dei 10 monumenti hanno informazioni registrate. Come se non bastasse, non c'era nessuna guida e nessuna registrazione elettronica per Ercoleneo. E per di più l'autista ha lasciato due di noi ad Ercoleneo dicendo che non siamo sulla lista!!!! Sì! Ci hanno lasciato ad Ercoleneo!!! Al Vesuvio ancora una volta nessuna guida, nessuna guida elettronica - il vulcanologo è sul posto per l'aggiunta del tour e la tassa, quindi non è incluso affatto. Fondamentalmente questo è un tour senza guida, senza registrazione elettronica funzionante e ti lasciano indietro! Certamente nessuno si è preso la responsabilità e nessuna responsabilità.

The ticketing experience was fine and the reminder with information about the trip was helpful. We loved how knowledgable our guide Michele Lamberti was and how well he was able to provide context for the sites. Now- less positive feedback is that one of the us seats was seriously broken and the passenger in front of me had her head in my lap because of the broken seat. Also, two of the people on the bus where extremely rude and took our seats and we would have appreciated the guide stepping in and asking people not to"steal" other people's seats.
