From Taormina: Siracusa & Noto Small-Group Tour

A superb day trip to 3 contrasting locations, with just the right amount of time at each one. We had an excellent driver in our guide Antonio and the transport was very comfortable (driver + 8 seats people-mover). Antonio provided a very entertaining, interesting and informative commentary on the way there, but at each location left us free to take the sights at our own pace. The lunch was magnificent. Unreservedly recommended.

This was an amazing experience. A MUST. You get a wonderful sense of the Sicilian experience, from antiquity (ruins in Neapolis) through the Christian overlay (as exemplified by the use of a Greek temple to create the Duomo (cathedral) on the island of Ortigia, to the wonderful tastes of Sicilian olive oil, almonds, pistachios, and chocolates.

It was great to get to all the places on the tour but we needed more time at the archaeological park of Syracuse. we had about 1 hour 15 minutes and after queing for tickets and using the toilet gave us an hour to rush around trying to see everything which we didn't manage to do. I really enjoyed visiting Ortigia Island & the opportunity to shop in the market. Lunch was not what I was expecting, we had seats in the cold windy narrow walkway, looking at students queuing for the same take out food we had to queue for. It would have been better to have had a more pleasant location with a better view! It was good we could choose two thi ngs to eat each as we had 2 children with us but there was no wine offered. After lunch we had to go to a different bar to use the toilet and where offered coffee. I do not drink coffee and asked for a hot chocolate but was told it would take too long to make so no drink for me. Would of been nice if the children were offered ice cream.

Sehr komfortabler Transfer nach Siracusa und Noto mit direktem PickUp vom Hotel in Taormina. Es handelt sich hauptsächlich um einen Transport zu den verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die man selbstständig erkunden kann. Unterwegs im Auto gab es Servier Informationen über Sizilien, den Ätna und alles was Etna People so macht. Es blieb genügend Zeit Ortiga und Noto selbst zu erkunden.
