Florence Full-Day Trip by High-Speed Train from Rome

We were in Rome but wanted to do a day trip to Florence. This was perfect. We were picked up at our hotel, met with a guide at the train station, took the train with about 25 other folks to Florence. Once there we were introduced to our own Florence guide (making the tour private for our group of 8. which was 2 families with 4 kids aged 13-16) which was great. Guide took us around for several hours then we had about 3 hours of our own time. We met back at the train station (everything is close in Florence...easy walk and easy to meet up with return guide as train station is small). Rode train back to Rome with group of 25 (we all slept :) ). Highly Recommend this tour and Get Your guide. They made booking and the day of the tour easy and seamless!

The best part of the trip was the guide Helena in Florence and also the assistance of Guiliermo going and back from Florence. The very annoying and misleading part was to opt to include transportation stated as pick and drop off at the school and get only the pick up part!! I would never had chosen to buy just pick to train, the most important thing was the dropping iff at the hotel on the way back! 😡

The tour was good in general but I'd prefer it if the lunch was a bit earlier. We were taken to a leather shop before lunch and everyone was already very hungry as we started the day at 7am. The museum visit was short but given the duration of the tour, I think it was appropriate. The guide gave us plenty of information on where to go in our free time.

El viaje fue estupendo. Desde el viaje en el "Frecciarossa" (tren de alta velocidad) hasta el almuerzo en un restaurante acogedor. El recorrido por el Museo de los Uffizi vale la pena y está incluido en el tour. Los guías son muy atentos y amables. Antes de terminar el tour, los guías permiten a los turistas pasear por Florencia durante 3 horas a su libre albedrío.
