From Rome: Thermal Springs, Farm Lunch & Village Day Trip

An absolutely wonderful day for our family, and unlike any other experience we had in Italy. Giulia and Eva picked us up in the morning and drove us from Rome to the countryside, sharing their knowledge along the way. This part alone was fantastic, as their excitement for history and the area compares to that of any other tour guides we've had during our time here. We spent a great, calming afternoon at the thermal springs, which our kids especially loved. On the way to the farm we stopped in Viterbo, a beautiful Medieval town. Here, too, Giulia and Eva were tremendous guides. When we arrived at the farm we felt warmly greeted and met Gisela. She prepared a wonderful meal, and Giulia and Eva treated us so kindly as we enjoyed our food and relaxed on the patio. The farm is beautiful and such a unique experience. Giulia, Eva and Gisela are amazing, passionate hosts and truly made us feel like we were family. We are so thankful we were able to spend the day with them. A true 10/10.

Giulia and Eva are wonderful hosts. They make you feel welcomed as soon as you start the tour. Giulia told us all about the history of Rome while driving us to the thermal springs - she really has a passion for both Italy and it's storied history. Afterwards we were welcomed by Eva at their lovely organic farm where we enjoyed a feast of freshly prepared "earth to table" apperativi (make sure you leave room for what's to follow!) and amazing zucchini parmagiana all paired with local wines and Giulia's sparkling conversation then finished off with not one but two desserts. Really an amazing experience we won't soon forget. You meet as strangers and leave as friends - honestly can't recommend this experience enough.

This was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip to Rome and I would recommend it to everyone! Just over an hour outside the city, we were able to experience the stunning countryside, mountains, and charming medieval villages that many tourists never get to see. Our guide, Julia, was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to make the day special, taking scenic back roads and sharing fascinating local history along the way. The thermal springs were incredible, with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the different temperature baths without feeling rushed. The farm lunch was equally unforgettable. The locally sourced food, homemade touches, and wine produced on the farm made for a truly authentic experience. The only minor downside was that the tour had been slightly overbooked, meaning my partner and I had to share a seat during the journey. However, the team were extremely apologetic, and Overall, an unforgettable day!

Even with the unexpected heavy traffic due to a train strike an city event, Giulia stayed calm and professional. On the way to the thermal Springs, she kept every passenger informed by giving us history lessons on what we were seeing as we drove north’s Once we got to the thermal springs, we had a generous three hours to enjoy this incredible hidden gem. Even though there were many people, it didn’t feel crowded. It was an incredible way to unwind after multiple days of walking to see everything Rome had to offer. Once we were finished at the springs, we headed to Farm and had one of the best meals because everything is organic from their farm or is from another local farm. I debated on booking this experience and I am so glad I did. it was a truly unique and unforgettable experience and one that most people will completely miss

truly can not express enough that this is a tour unlike any other! so much can be learned from the locals who are this passionate. our hosts were so incredibly kind and knowledgeable. the thermal baths were relaxing and refreshing and something that my partner and I wanted to do but had no idea how to do without renting a car and attempting to drive in Rome (scary) Giulia picked us up from our air bnb and drove us there and to her and Eva's farm. informing of us of so much rich culture and history all along the way . the dinner is incomparable to anything. made and grown with love !! so refreshing to meet people who care more about quality than profiting and selling out to evil corporations especially coming from the states when that's unfortunately the constant for us . couldn't thank Eva and Giulia more . plus adorable kitty cats and puppy dogs !!

If you’re traveling to Rome don’t miss out on this wonderful day trip. Yesterday my wife and I had the most amazing adventure at the Viterbo Thermal Baths, with a visit to a medieval village and then a gourmet lunch / dinner at a rustic family farmhouse. Eva and Giulia were so very welcoming and knowledgeable about this region of Italy. They made this day so enjoyable and one that we will truly never forget.

Absolutely loved this very authentic and relaxing day out in Tuscia. Our hosts Giulia and Eva made wheelchair accessibility easy. We started with 3 hours at the thermal springs with 5 pools, a relaxing and peaceful setting. After winding through medieval villages we arrived at the farmhouse and met Eva’s mum Gisella who prepared our delicious long lunch with local organic products. Think cheeses, meats and breads, pasta, veal, strawberries and cream in a rustic vine and floral setting. All with accompanying wines

Our day trip was way more exciting than we even could imagine. The tour guides were excellent and shared their wonderful knowledge of the area with us. They were so personable and efficient! Their guidance at the thermal bath was impeccable. The trip into the little city with divine, and the visit to their farm surpassed any farm visit I’ve ever had. They are incredibly warm and welcoming. The food was savory and fabulous. The conversations flowed endlessly. They were flexible and so very kind. I would highly recommend this adventure!

Where do I begin! What an amazing and interesting day. A trip to the thermal baths to relax, followed by a walk around a breathtaking Medieval village. Learned so much more about the deep history of the region from our wonderful guide Giulia. Then followed a beautiful late lunch, drinks and chat with the family at their farmhouse. Would highly recommend, such a unique experience that will have a lasting impact on us.

An outstanding day. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect: the drive, the baths, the villages, the delicious meal in the farm/home setting. Such a wonderful contrast to our busy week in Rome. The hosts were perfect - knowledge, professional and friendly. They both (plus the mother) made the day extra special. We'd thoroughly recommend the day.

My daughter and I were visiting my younger daughter who is studying a semester in Rome. I thought she would enjoy a day out of the City so booked this outing for the 3 of us. It was amazing. My daughter said it was one of her best days in Rome. The trip to the thermal springs alone was worth the trip. but it followed with an amazing late lunch at our hosts farmhouse. Just a great day all around.

Highly recommend this trip out to the Thermal spa baths for a relaxing time away from busy Rome city centre. Baths were amazing ranging from 42 degrees (hot!) to 15 degrees (not quite cold enough). Eva collected us from our hotel and was a great hostess, together with Gulia and Guisela. Towels and bath robes can be hired for a small charge from Eva. They made us very welcome throughout the trip and kindly hosted us in their family farmhouse. A wonderful 4 course, homemade lunch was served along with good local wine. After a good few hours of chatting, laughter and feeling completely satiated, Eva drive us back to the city centre and stopped us off at our Hotel. Thank you all!

Truly amazing experience. I would highly recommend. Wonderful trip to the spa and fabulous host. The drive through the countryside and old city was amazing and the meal at the beautiful farm house was outstanding. Very interesting and informative discussions with knowledgeable Godars guide Eva. Make sure to book in advance to not miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
