Mount Etna Tour from Taormina: Wine Tasting & Winery Lunch

Our guide Luca was wonderful. Luca’s knowledge about the history of Etna and the information he shared about the geology and fauna in the area was very interesting. Luca’s attention to the needs of the tour group, helping my wife with her fear of heights was outstanding and appreciated. Luca also had a great sense of humor and made the trip fun. The Gambino vineyard we visited for the wine tasting was phenomenal. The wines were superb and the accompanying food was delicious and filling. If you take this tour, you won’t be disappointed. Note for Luca - 1776 will always remind me of 6-7 and don’t let those robbers dig anymore lava caves.

This was a wonderful tour! The hike to Mt Etna took about an hour but was well worth it. It was a once in a lifetime memory. The visit to the cave also provided a unique perspective. The trip to the Gambino winery was much more than my family and I expected. The wine pairing and food were both excellent and the amount provided was more than generous! Finally our tour guide Gianni would be rated more than 5 stars if that were possible! He went over and above what was required to ensure we had a fantastic trip. He even gave our toddler grandson his hat to help with the sun! He is the best!!
