Lecce: E-Bike Tour to Gallipoli with Farm Tasting, Swim & Taxi Back

This was by far our most favourite day and activity in the Puglia. We highly recommend this activity! What an amazing way to experience the region. Right away we felt a warm welcome by Marco and Klaus that set the stage for a wonderful day on the e-bikes. We stopped along the way, with Klaus sharing information about the landscape, history of the area and taking in the beautiful views. We also visited an olive farm with wine making facilities and what a treat it was to meet this family and taste their delicious wine and olive oil. From here we made our way to the Ionian Sea for a lovely swim in the turquoise water and lunch at a local cafe. We finished in Gallopoli winding through the streets and again taking in the breathtaking views. We absolutely loved this tour and would highly recommend Marco and his amazing team to spend a day with! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you!!

Amazing trip - fabulous guide (Klaus) with infectious enthusiasm! Really attentive and full of good info. Surpassed all expectations - what a great day out. Best trip we’ve ever been on. Top spec bikes, clear instructions and safety. Covered a lot of miles but the electric bikes made it effortless. Brilliant stop at vineyard/olive farm with delicious snacks, ample wine, and great atmosphere. Super swim stop with crystal clear water. The other guests were delightful and we enjoyed the taxi back to Lecce together. Together with Klaus (and colleague Marco) this felt like an outing with close friends. Can’t recommend highly enough. Book this!

The E-bike ride from Lecce to Gallipoli was fabulous. The bikes were new and in great shape. The guide, Tom, was warm, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. It was great to have various stops along our ride: 1. To a local vintner visiting his vineyards, and then later meeting his wife at his home, where we tasted their wines, olive oil, and local snacks; 2. To a cafe in Nardo where we tasted some caffe Leccese; and 3.Having lunch and a dip in the Ionian sea and pranzo at Santa Maria. Our small group of 7 (with the guide) bonded during our full-day's journey. It was a highlight among our activities in Puglia.

Fabulous day out, the e-bikes were first class and spotless. We were a group of 6, 3 couples all nearing retirement age, from Canada, America and Ireland. Tom was our guide for the day and he was excellent, definitely an asset to Marcos business. We visited olive groves, vineyards, tastings of local produce, beautiful swim stop and lunch. Our day started with strangers and finished with friends. Best day in lecce.

Fantastic tour. I am so glad I booked this. After days of walking around it was amazing to cruise on a bike and see the countryside and historical sites. This tour offered so much. They really packed it in - olive oil and wine tasting, a handful of small villages with unique historical features, gorgeous countryside, and coastal views and towns with plenty of stops to eat, chat, and eat again. Definitely a tour worth going on. Thank you Tom and Marco. I can't wait to come back and do it again.

We had a wonderful day! It turned out to be a small group of three plus our guide Nicolas who was very informative and just a great guide. The stops were fun and interesting with a chance to swim at a couple of beautiful locations. The bikes were new and well maintained with a very well thought out route it made for an excellent day. I have recommended this company to everyone I met looking for something to do while in Lecce.

I highly recommend this tour. Klaus and company were very professional. Right from my arrival they were very accommodating to our bike fittings ensuring all of the equipment was adjusted and in working ordered. They explained how to use the e-bikes. On top of their agenda was to ensure we all had a great experience and were safe the entire trip. We went through the city, country, visited a winery and olive oil maker. We had a tasting of three styles of wine and also olive oil. After a good ride , we stopped in Santa Barbara for a relaxing and refreshing swim in the turquoise water . An incredible bike tour from Lecce to Gallipoli and easily the best tour we’ve done during our two weeks in Puglia! Marco made booking so easy, and his flexibility was fantastic. You can really see the thought that went into creating an authentic Puglia experience, combining delicious food, wine, history, local culture and breathtaking views. Our guide Tom was knowledgeable, friendly and great fun. By the end of the day, it genuinely felt like we were out cycling with good friends. We cannot recommend this tour enough. חוויה מדהימה , אחד הטיולים היפים שעשינו בכללי . קיבלנו אופניים חשמלים חדישים ביותר , קסדה ומים ויצאנו לדרך . רכבנו בשבילים קסומים , עיירות עתיקות , כפרים ,נופים קסומים , שתינו יין וחטיפים מקומיים, קפה והכל תוך כדי הסברים על סולנטו , דרום פוליה . רכבנו לכיוון גליפולי , עצרנו לטבול בים טורקיז משגע ומשם המשכנו על הים לגליפולי שגם היא עוצרת נשימה . משם חזרה ברכב ללצה . היה נהדר , מושקע ושווה כל רגע. חוויה שאסור להחמיץ . הרכיבה לא פשוטה ומתאימה לאנשים בריאים . תאכלו משהו בבוקר לאנרגיה . נעלי ספורט ובגד ים וכדאי גם בגד להחלפה . לא להחמיץ !!!

De E-bikes waren super en splinternieuw. We hadden een Nederlandse gids die bruiste van energie en enthousiasme. Tot aan de kust fiets je veel langs olijfboomgaarden. Daarna volgt er een mooie route via kustplaatsen. De stop en proeverij bij de boer was leuk. Het zwemmen in de zee was in een drukke baai midden in het dorpje en werd gecombineerd met de lunch. Voor het omkleden in het restaurant adviseren wij om hier iets anders op te bedenken. Al druipend tussen de etende gasten naar de wc lopen, voelde ongemakkelijk en gaf ook verbaasde gezichten. We hebben een heerlijke, warme, dag gehad. Dankjewel. De prijs was volgens de site een kortingsactie en nu 98 euro pp. Voor ons echter wel de maximum prijs die de tour waard was.

a MUST DO on your holiday!! Such a great way to see Puglia. If you can ride a bike then you should definitely give this a try, the e-bike will do most of the work for you. Marco was an awesome guide and very knowledgeable. Starting in Lecce and ride around the old town before it gets too busy before stopping for the first coffee of the day. You’ll then travel along cycle paths through olive groves before stopping to visit a local couple that produces their own wine and olive oil (bring some cash as the products are very very reasonably priced) and sample a traditional snack. Heading off then to Nardò, you’ll ride through the beautiful countryside before stopping for to try a Caffè Leccese. You’ll then make your way to the coast, cycling on a stunning path along the sea, stopping to have a swim and lunch at a local restaurant. Finishing off with the last leg to Gallipoli, riding through the maze of the old town before completing the ride. A taxi will then take you back to Lecce.
