Blue Grotto: Exclusive Early Entrance Experience

FO NOT BOOK this tour with this group. There are a ton of trustworthy groups doing this tour but this group is a bunch of scammers! My family & I arrived at 7:40am as instructed, and upon arrival the guide says let me find out if the grotto is open. He returns a minute later and says it is closed all day (due to weather, not in the tour company’s control) and says we can do an alternate tour around the island (which we have already done) or receive a refund so we said we will do the refund. Then they call after we taxi back to our place and tell us there’s no refund. The language clearly states full refund if the grotto is closed due to weather so it’s absolutely unacceptable to say otherwise. Good riddance scammers.

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were fortunate to not have a long wait. The boat was very comfortable and had a roof cover if we had to sit in the sun a while. The experience was top value, and our guide was very friendly and informative. We also enjoyed our small boat for the grotto persons singing and his commentary to make you aware of what was happening inside the grotto so you knew the length of time you had.

I highly recommend doing the early entrance experience if you want to see the Blue Grotto. We were probably the third rowboat inside the grotto and they see approximately 2k people a day in peak season. The wait can be over 2 hours by mid day. Our captain was lovely and gave us lots of information about the island as we cruised over to the cave entrance. Loved it!
