Pompeii Private 2-Hour Tour: Discover Ancient Roman Life

Antonietta was super. She brought it to life for all of us. Thank you! We chose the afternoon tour so it was cooler and less people were in the ruins. We had a great meal after at the train station (Hortus Pompei). Great portions and reasonable prices.

Antonietta, our guide was very nice, she had great energy and was very knowledgable. We had a hard time getting to our meeting place and she was very supportive and helpful to make it easy for us to join the group once we did arrive.

Knowledge and personable, having a guide made the trip more meaningful. However, I learned nothing new, and realized I need to seek more advanced tours to compliment the knowledge I already have. For example, several group members quipped, "I only know what's in the textbooks..." Bummer.

We really enjoyed the small group set-up being 3 adults and 3 kids aged 10-11. Excellent tour and choice of highlights. Stefano speaks good English, has humour and interacts with the group and kids. We had a wonderful couple of hours in Pompeii, despite the scorching heat.

We had about 6 people in our group and it was so great not having a large group to worry about. It definitely felt more intimate and we were able to ask the questions we wanted and the tour seemed somewhat tailored to our group. Definitely worth the price, especially to support independent guides in such a large tourist destination.

The guide ,Stephano, took care about my train schedule before the tour and also gave advice about Pompeii to us to look around even after the guided tour. He spoke in English very well and used easy words so it was easy to understand.
