Florence Duomo Cathedral Guided Tour - Santa Maria del Fiore

The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, however we spent the first 45 min standing in one place outside the Duomo waiting for it to open while she talked about various aspects of the building. It was interesting but hard to stand still for that long! Perhaps we could have walked around the outside. Inside there was a lot of detail about the paintings etc and the tour abruptly ended under the dome after some discussion about the ceiling. Overall Gloria was good but the tour was a bit odd.
