About Florence
Florence is best seen from the water, where the Arno slips beneath the Ponte Vecchio and the city's ochre facades rise straight from the banks. The highest-rated experiences here are short, intimate river outings, like the Florence: Panoramic Rafting Tour of Ponte Vecchio & City Sights and the Kayak Soft in Florence: Explore the Arno Under Ponte Vecchio, both praised for their guides and small groups. For a longer day on the water and coast, the Small Group Day Tour of Cinque Terre & Pisa from Florence earns top marks for its pacing and scenery.

Frequently asked questions
The highest-rated options here are small-group river outings on the Arno, typically two hours, led by guides who keep groups intimate and share local history as you pass the Ponte Vecchio. Reviews consistently praise the pacing, safety briefings and the perspective you get on the city from the water rather than the crowded bridges.
