All kayaks that are doubles (for two people). Uneven participants will be combined with another uneven in a double kayak or with a tour guide, depending on the final number for the tour.
Maximum Weight per person 230 pounds.
This tour runs with a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 24.
All Participants are Required to Paddle and Manage their Own Kayak. Guides will assist when needed but Will Not Tow guests for the entirety of the tour.
No children under 18 can participate without adult supervision
There will be three to four guides in the water at all times
You will spend 2 full hours in the water
Transportation is not provided on this tours, a rental car is recommended. Uber and taxis are not reliable from the tour location, unless secured for round trip transportation.
Visibility may change based on weather.
This tour is not recommended for people who are afraid of being in the water of fear of dark.

It was a great activity! The paddle out to the bay was longer than I anticipated but doable. The bay was so peaceful and our guide was knowledgeable about the flagellum. Would definitely recommend this company!!!

It was so special. The owner we met on arrival was so welcoming. The guides were very informative and thoughtful. I felt well taken care of. They gave a safety info and kayaking tips talk before we got into the kayaks in the bay. Kayaking in the mangroves was lovely. In the days prior to the tour, I had lowered my expectations as to whether I would see the bioluminescence because I knew it would be nearly a half moon. I knew if I didn’t see it, I was still going to enjoy kayaking through a mangrove at night. My expectations were exceeded! Our guide knew how to give us the best chance (block the moonlight with your kayak and put your hand in on the other side). He also knew the best spots where the dinoflagellate are most concentrated. It was truly magical. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience. The kayaking through the mangroves both ways was awesome. The bioluminescence in the lagoon when you moved your hand in the water was the awesomest thing ever. Don’t miss this, it’s the best. The guides were great too.

Honestly I loved kayaking the channel even more than seeing the bioluminescence; it was pretty weak on the day we went. But the channel was a surprisingly beautiful and peaceful trip; even though it was dark, you could see enough to appreciate just how gorgeous the mangroves and other nature are. I would fully recommend this tour to anyone! Just check the seasonal strength (NOT JUST THE MOON CYCLE) of the bioluminescence before booking if you want to see it full strength. Just a word of caution- even though this is one of the strongest spots of bioluminescence on earth, it still varies greatly by season and other factors (not just moonlight); even though we went on a new moon they said it was at about 30%-40% strength so it only looked like faint sparks rather than the trail of blue you see in pictures. Still very amazing to see it at all, but just checking expectations.

Overall we had a wonderful experience. We had a group of six, 3 couples in our group. I had a tough kayaking since I had only did it one other time a few years back. Thank God my husband who has experience was my partner and he helped immensely!! The tour guides were great and very thorough and helpful. Once we got to the Laguna we were working together much better, however since we took the moonlight tour it was dark and at times difficult for me to see, again I was very grateful my husband could see much better than me. I’m glad we did the tour and got to see the bioluminescent in the Laguna, it wasn’t much but what we did see was nice. Let’s just say we have great memories of this tour and will definitely remember this for years to come!
