Florenz: Geführte Tour durch den Domkomplex

Pessima esperienza!

This was not a tour to recommend. We had a meeting time of 9 am but did not enter until 10:15am. We listened to our guide for hour and a half before walking in. Instead of going up to the alter which was less crowded when we first entered she decided to spend an additional half hour talking about the clock and floors. By the time we walked up it was so crowded we couldn’t take pictures. It was the only tour the we booked that we couldn’t wait until it was over.

Timed tickets were a boon as queues were very long. We found the tour did not cover as much as we had expected and there was so much information in terms of dates and names that it became very hard to follow. There seemed to be time wasted in securing tickets from the guide for the second part of the tour, using email/WhatsApp. The guide then left us in the museum after what seemed to be a rushed visit. We had expected to visit the Baptistry with the guide but this was not included on the day (the ticket did allow entry for later days but that was not feasible for us).
