Florenz Foodies Tour: Toskanische Aromen & Edler Wein

Chiara our guide was phenomenal! It was just my husband and I on the tour which was lovely and personal but Chiara made it feel even more special - like a friend was showing you their favourite places…passionate and highly informative but also very friendly and funny. The food we had at each stop was delicious with great wine to accompany it. My favourites were the ‘capo’ at Alimentari Uffizi and the ‘pappa de pomodoro’ at il Chernachio. Chiara explained the history and provenance of each dish in a wonderfully informative way and obviously has a true passion for Florence and its food and history…we could have listened to her all evening! This was truly the highlight of a brilliant stay in Florence and an experience we will never forget! Grazie mille Chiara from your Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw friends!!!

We had a great time at our foodies tour! Mara, our guide, was fun and shared a lot of information about our stops and about Florence and its history. Ample time was spent at each local restaurant and we got a chance to meet the owners and learn about their food. These were typical Florence locales that we normally would have never visited as they were small and almost hidden! Our group was fairly small, 11 total, which made for the perfect size to navigate the streets as a group and be able to feel like part of a special outing. We would definitely recommend this as a great opportunity to sample some locale cuisine, wine and the best gelato!
