Ab Rom: Tagesausflug nach Pompeji und Neapel mit Mittagessen

Peitro was the driver and Antoinette was our guide for the day. Hotel pick up was easy and they were waiting for us outside the lobby without any problems. We made our journey to Pompeii and had a chance to stop for some coffee before hand. We arrived at Pompeii before the crowds, which was really helpful as it allowed us to explore this amazing site relatively by ourselves. Our guide provided by the Pompei Park was amazing and we visited not only the previously found ruins, but also the newly excavated works. From Pompeii, we then went to lunch at an amazing winery on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. We sampled at least six different wines and had a multicourse lunch. We ended our day by doing a quick driving tour of Palermo to see it from the mountain top. We then descended into city center and walked around a bit Seeing the major sites. All in all all guides were excellent and we felt like it was a great day. Highly recommend.

This trip has two guides: one who stays with you during the entire day (Giuseppe) and another in Pompeii (Hector). Giuseppe took good care of us throughout the day. The guide in Pompeii was indeed knowledgeable, but ran like a maniac. For first time visitors, we would have needed a little more time to digest the informarion, sink in the experience. Also, just FYI, in Pompeii, two other groups were combined with us, so that part of the trip is shared; this we couldn't request a slower pace. The wine-tasting place was really nice food and all (although they could/should upgrade their sink outside the restrooms). Transportation was comfortable with an excellent driver. All in all, great day in Pompeii and Naples.

Excelente todo. La guía Isabelle con explicaciones desde que te recogen en tu hotel. Son muy puntuales. Prácticamente fue tour privado, porque solo íbamos nosotros en el transporte. Llegamos a Pompeya y el guía con datos curiosos y explicaciones muy claras, duramos como dos horas pero es plano, así que no es cansado. Nos apoyaba para la toma de fotos. En los viñedos de Cantina del Vesubio, te reciben con copa de vino, te dan tour caminando, detrás de ti está el Vesibio, ta dan dos platillos completos ( quesos, jamones, pasta) todo delicioso. Un vinagre de Vino delicioso. Hicimos caminata por las calles de Nápoles que son muy interesantes por lo diferente que son de otros sitios de Italia. Finalmente llegamos a un mirador desde donde se ve Capri, el Vesubio y el Golfo de Nápoles. Llegamos a las 7 pm, el transporte es una furgoneta muy cómoda, yo iba con mayores y adolescente. Definitivamente es un tour que se debe tomar si solo tienes un día para ir a Pompeya y Nápoles.

Our driver and guide picked us up at our hotel! It was supposed to be a small group and ended up only being us which was great, felt like we had a personal driver and guide. They were both amazing and made the 2.5 hour drive comfortable and fun. Our Pompei guide did an excellent job walking us around, very informative and educational. She knew her stuff. The wine tour and lunch was ok, nothing special. Would preferred to have pizza in Naples with driver and guide. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves, a great day trip from Rome. Would highly recommend as they treated us very well.

The van was nice and we went to pick up the other party. We speak English and the other party of 4 were from Brazil and spoke Portuguese. While our guide Josh did an amazing job the entire day going back and forth doing van tour in both languages, it was uncomfortable at times being with people for 12 hours who spoke a different language. Our time in Pompeii was not what I had hoped for. I was very much looking forward to the tour but our guide had a very think Italian accent and was very hard to understand. He moved very quickly from spot to spot (which I understand he was trying to cover a lot of ground) but we had little time for pictures. I didn’t understand much of what was said during the tour. We had a very nice lunch at a winery and then went to see a little of Naples. Our driver and Josh did a great job of taking us to picture worthy spots. This tour was very expensive but we were gone the entire day and had a very nice lunch. I only wish we had a better time at Pompeii.

It was a fantastic day! The pickup was on time, the vehicle comfortable and as we were the only two on the tour it felt very special. The visit to Pompeii was perfectly timed - hardly anyone else was there and our guide was excellent! The wine tasting lunch was totally unexpected- and wow! We then made a short visit to Napoli where our guide (Joseph) was born so he was very knowledgeable about the city! It was a long day so be prepared! Our driver (Valentino) was superb! Great value for money, highly recommend .

Debería poderse elegir entre pasar más tiempo en Pompeya (lo hubiésemos preferido aunque fuese a nuestro aire después de acabar el tour guiado) o visitar Nápoles. Nos hubiésemos quedado más horas para poder visitar otras zonas de la excavación que no se incluyeron en la visita guiada y concertar con el transporte la hora de recogida. Hubiese sido lo ideal ya que nuestro objetivo principal era conocer Pompeya. El viaje de ida y vuelta desde Roma es muy largo para el poco tiempo que pasas después en Pompeya. Como para otras personas, en función del interés individual de cada uno, el tiempo dedicado a la visita es suficiente y preferirán combinarlo con la excursión a Nápoles, por eso he sugerido al principio que se ofrezcan las dos opciones para que el cliente pueda elegir.
