Rom: Spaßtour durch die Vatikanischen Museen & Sixtinische Kapelle mit Eintritt

100% recommend NotBoringTours. Shame we didn’t know about them at the beginning of our trip, as we would have booked all our tours with them! We didn’t get to do the trip to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel due to it being closed in the evening last minute. Mike was a great communicator and explained over the phone, and offered us a Golf Cart Tour for 2 Hours around Rome with Salvo. Of course we said yes! What a great experience going around Rome in a Golf Buggy, one of the best highlights on our little trip. Salvo was so knowledgeable about the history of Rome and showed us so many places. At the end of our Tour Salvo recommended eating at “Pancrazio” amazing food and drinks. We would have never of known about the history of the Theatre of Pompey. A restaurant built on the ruins of the Theatre of Pompey - the biggest theatre in Ancient Rome. Thank You Salvo again for a great tour.

Mike (our guide) was telling us facts about the artists and their works that I myself wasn’t aware of. Upon checking further, everything he told us was 100% accurate. He was conscientious and happy to lead us around! And those facts provided rewarding insights into what the artists had in mind while they were creating their masterpieces, particularly with regard to Michelangelo. We were able to book our guided tour for the day after we arrived; there was absolutely no chance of us (my wife and I) getting in on our own on such short notice. It really was a fun tour too. We opted for the short tour ending with the Sistine Chapel. In spite of the long lines, we were inside in about 20 min - which I considered a minor miracle in itself. I don’t hesitate at all in recommending this tour group. I’m home now: I wish I could do it all over again!

We had incorrectly thought our tour was starting in the Vatican square so panic ensued as we thought were going miss it but one phone call later and we managed to get to the correct meeting point just a few minutes later. Mike, our guide, was very welcoming despite us being late. The group was bigger than I thought but maybe because we had a much smaller group the day before at the Colosseum. Mike started by briefing us and setting our expectations which was good. It wasn’t long until we began and Mike did a great job keeping us entertained with anecdotes. All throughout Mike was cracking jokes and feeding us with lots of useful information, Mike’s tour surpassed our expectations. I would highly recommend taking the last tour at 5pm as you’re the last group so you can actually enjoy everything and see up close statues you wouldn’t even get close too on the day tours. Looking up at MichaelAngelo’s fresco in the Sistene Chapel in a relatively small crowd is something to behold as you awe
