The first app didn't open. And on the second app, the QR code was invalid. As a result, there was no audio guide. I recommend buying tickets on the official websites.

Morning coffee by a fountain, and half an hour later, walls that are two thousand years old. It’s this constant closeness of antiquity and everyday life: laundry hanging across from ancient columns, cyclists weaving past the Colosseum on their way to work. What made the trip special were also the small things: the light that turns golden in the evening, painting every façade a warm ochre; a nameless trattoria found by chance, where the owner simply decides what to serve you; the silence in a small church that no one else happened to enter. And there was also the sense that there’s nowhere to rush to. Rome isn’t about a checklist of sights — it’s about knowing how to just sit in a piazza and watch the city flow by.

The staff are very welcoming and explain things very well. I highly recommend it. The Colosseum is magnificent, and the Palatine Hill is a must-see!

That's great—but we didn't receive the correct codes to enter into the app to access the audio guide until the end of the day. So no audio guide for the day. And no gesture of goodwill from Headout other than 10% off the next reservation (I don’t plan on making another reservation).

Everything worked perfectly and exactly as described in the app. No problems at all. The app worked as expected, and they recognized the code right away at the ticket office at the entrance.

The tours themselves were perfectly fine, and the Colosseum and the Roman Forum were absolutely impressive and well worth seeing! However, the audio guide only worked in the museum (Carcere Mamertinum). Unfortunately, you also have to download two extra apps just to be able to hear anything, and it’s quite a hassle dealing with usernames and passwords to access the audio guide. We had bought two tickets, but could only listen to one audio guide, so we had to share the earbuds so that both of us could hear something. At the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, there was unfortunately nothing to hear and nothing to read either. We could have 100% done without the audio guide and would have been better off just paying the admission fee. It’s a real shame—we were looking forward to some fascinating information and got nothing.
