Vespa-Tour ins Chianti ab Florenz mit Weinverkostung

We booked this tour excited to explore Chianti by Vespa, but heavy rain meant switching to little Fiats for safety. Since the tour runs rain or shine, this was completely understandable. Unfortunately, beyond the transportation, the experience was underwhelming. The guides were friendly, but their storytelling and regional knowledge lacked the passion and enthusiasm I’ve experienced with other guides. One 30 min town stop also felt pointless—there was very little to see or do beyond a gelato shop, and I would have preferred a charming town with local shops, boutiques, or artisan goods to browse. Dinner was average; the pappa al pomodoro and gelato were decent, but the pasta was disappointing. The highlight was Diadema Winery, where the knowledgeable and engaging guide made the wine, olive oil, and bread tasting excellent. Overall, I appreciated the safe alternative to the Vespas, but for the price, I expected more from the guides, itinerary, and overall experience.

I really have nothing bad to say about this trip. Transportation was great in the air conditioned van to pick up our tropolinos... driving it through the Tuscan hills was so lovely. the views are incredible.. stopping by lil medieval towns were great.. the wine tasting and views at diadema winery was excellent.. our guide Louisa is so nice, friendly, knowledgeable and made for a great time. can't recommend enough

Overall, it was an incredible experience with amazing views over the landscapes in the countryside south of Florence. I would really recommend doing this if you are staying in Florence for a change of the city life. I would not recommend people that haven’t been driving motorbikes before trying it for the first time here. The guides were really nice and helpful. The thing I liked the least was the wine tasting itself; it takes place at a local wine producer’s place where you get to taste just a little bit of three wines, and even less of two other more expensive wines. Sadly, it was more or less just a promotion about their own wine and how they ship worldwide, not about really tasting wine and a familiarity— just business. The food was good though!
