I'm so glad I booked this tour as the history of the Doves Palace was so interesting..Having the artwork explained and the grandeur of the building was a wow moment. Unfortunately the basillica was closed due to a service but we were taken to another with a crypt.

Our tour was wonderful. Our guide was excellent. He shared so much information, and in such a way that you didn't just understand everything, but you saw all the history and emotion and beauty of the Basilica, the Doge's Palace, and whole square. This tour was a highlight of our entire trip.

Unfortunately we couldn’t visit the cathedral due to a priest funeral. I think we should have been warned the day before( as I think the priest didn’t die on the day) and given a chance to cancel, as it was quite an expensive tour. ( even the tour said it might happen and be replaced by another activity) . This said the guide was exceptional that makes up for the disappointment

Our tour guide was great. I do feel like the Doge’s Palace part of the tour went a bit too long. Overall, it was a great way to knock two ‘must-see’ places off your list with ease.

we specifically booked this tour because we wanted to see Saint Marks Basilica. we were notified the day before that they were unable to secure tickets and we would be seeing an alternate church. while our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable in the art and history of the doge Palace and Zachariah’s church, we were disappointed that we did not get to see Saint Marks Basilica. if you want to see Saint Mark Basilica, I would not take the chance that they will secure tickets. after I was notified that Saint Marks tickets were not available at our 10 AM tour. I was able to go online and purchase tickets separately directly through the church for an afternoon visit.

I was disappointed with the overall tour since the tour provider was not able to secure St. Mark's Basilica entrance tickets. It was clear that the Basilica was open to the public that day but the provider just didn't get the tickets on time. Our guide Silvana was very good, providing an deep understanding of Doge's Palace and art history. I enjoyed her commentary very much on the Doge's palace portion of the tour. The tour of the back up church was informative but does not come come close to making up for missing St. Mark's Basilica.

The Doges palace was beautiful. St Marks was as well, however, because of an internal error in printing our tickets we were unable to go upstairs to the museum! We paid for this and did not get to go..very unhappy, as was our entire group.

Signora Chiara (venicewithchiaradotcom) is an absolute storm while guding me through the widely known and unknown facts about San Marco Cathedral and the Doge's Palace. She even shared some secrets perhaps only experts and eloquent people like her are aware of. But the most impressive detail about my extremely kind and wise guide is the immediate respect toward her. She is a personification of ethics, code and culture. I've never met a tour guide like her before. So thank you very much, Signora, for the stories inside this magnificent cathedral. Being a newcomer to the Doge's Palace I felt like she was the voice of the Republic of Venice in the actual historical environment and I was a guest from the province where the Venetian merchant ships used to trade with my people (which is actually true)... King Ivan Alexander and the Doge Andrea Dandolo in late XIV century sign a treaty and Varna, my home town, becomes the home of the Venetian Consulate in Bulgaria. Those were the times...

Marina was the perfect guide! We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour. I would highly recommend for Doge’s Palace and St Mark’s. We weren’t able to tour St Mark’s with Marina because it was a national holiday but she helped ensure we could see St Mark’s later that day.

Absolutely fantastic tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and Doge’s Palace! We ended up having a private tour since we were the only ones booked, which made the experience even more special. Marina was hands down the coolest guide we could have asked for, super knowledgeable, funny, and an absolute joy to spend the day with. She brought the history to life with fascinating stories and insights while keeping everything engaging and entertaining. We learned so much and had an amazing time exploring these iconic landmarks.
