Tour Gastronomico Autoguidato di Bologna con Voucher: Assapora i Sapori Locali

Overall, this self guided tour was an overpriced fast food tour with very little information provided about the neighborhood. Also, the service at most locations was disappointing feeling that the restaurants were not happy that we were there with our vouchers. One location even refused to honor the voucher as it was past 16:00 when the tour was scheduled to start at 17:00!

The presentation was 5 star: including a map and a brief walking tour of the historic city center. This is a TASTINGS tour. With the amount of walking, to help you see the city, it would not replace a meal. One of the seven vouchers must have been new, (as it was not on the provided map glossary.) Each of the vendors WAS aware of the program and did provide the product offered. While it WAS fun, this is not a tour I would hardily endorse.

We hebben genoten van Bologna. De foodtour was middelmatig. Het waren vouchers die je kon inleveren bij verschillende snackpunten. We hadden 7 vouchers: 2 voor een broodje, 1 voor een ijsje, 1 voor koffie, 1 voor snackballetjes met veel ricotta saus, 1 voor een smoothie en 1 voor een prosciutto plankje met een glas wijn. Die laatste was het leukst, want je mocht plaatsnemen op het terras en echt het Italiaanse apperitivo uurtje beleven. De audiotour beperkte zich tot een aantal audio fragmenten van de bezienswaardigheden en uitleg over het culinaire Bologna. Ik had het leuker gevonden als we een audioroute hadden waar we aan de hand werden genomen om Bologna te ontdekken.

Turist trap.Low value for money. 7 coupons 1. Coffee in a cafe: not mentioned but only to go. Would not let us sit at their tables. 2-3-4 small “sandwiches” from fastfood places. No drinks incl. 5. Cold platter incl glass of wine. Good experience 6. Cookies at a bakery. “Free choice of all” but no choice. They said we could only have one kind. 7. Chocolate: got a very small selection Too expensive compared to the prices of the offered food. Approx you only receive value for half of the price for the experience. And not funny to go from one take a away sandwich to another.

I attended this tour during my visit and there were couple issues. 1. Voucher for gelato-tasting had the wrong information. The store had a new name and did not locate in the address voucher mentioned. I tried to search it couple times from the location Google Maps suggested, but only after I checked the QR-code, I found the correct location. So, hopefully the provider will update the information in the future, so it will not cause negative effect to customers experience. 2. Restaurant for lasagne tasting closed already at 15.30! I noticed this at 16.00 when I was searching for a route to the restaurant. I was leaving early the next morning, therefore could not use the voucher any other day. I asked if the provider could provide some compensation, because I was not able to use that specific voucher during my stay. However, they were not, because they could have provided alternative option during the day, if they had been contacted. I was not aware they could be contacted during day
