Tour Privato Bologna: Musei Lamborghini & Ferrari con Pranzo

My partner is an extreme sportscar enthusiast and since we weren't able to travel to Bologna last year, we made a pact to go this year for our birthdays. Since we were celebrating a big milestone for him we went ahead a booked this tour. Since we were coming by train, our driver Frank picked us up. Even better we found out our tour was private and we felt very fortunate. Frank was very kind and attentive. He was also a local of Bologna and gave us some interesting facts about the town as he drove us. Our first stop was at Lamborghini museum. It was cool to see all the different colors and designs. It wasnt crowded at all. Got to enjoy and take pictures with no problem. The 2nd leg of the tour was at the Ferrari site. This was crowded and had more to see and experience. It was more than a showroom unlike Lamborghini. We even went on a bus to see Ferrari in depth but not allowed to take pictures for security. At the end of tour had an amazing lunch by a local spot. We enjoyed this tour!

The Ferrari tour is very nice. The Lamborghini museum tour was interesting but less impactful. More of a glorified car showroom with history plaques. Having said that, I’m less familiar with Lamborghini than Ferrari so I still learned a lot about their cars and history. Our driver Francesco was great and we really enjoyed our lunch. So much food!

Davide was fluent in English and was very helpful and provided timing and comfortable transportation for my wife and I. Ferrari was a little busier than we would have liked but as the Italian GP had ended just the day before it was expected. I would highly recommend Bologna Tours as we have used them 3 times on this trip and they have been extremely communicative and helpful.

Our driver Adriano was so nice, he spoke a little Spanish so it was easy for us to communicate. The drive was comfortable and secure. We arrived early to Lamborghini so we had enough time to see the Museum and spend more time in Ferrari Museum which was amazing!! So much history and quality of construction. The tour was inside a bus trough the Ferrari fabric buildings and at the end stopped to see part of the track. Lunch was satisfying and yummy, two courses, wine and coffee. We always felt taken care of.

Infortunately I did not rate this tour very high, cost vs what was actually recived, this was not value for money, over $1500 AUS. I would not suggest this to anyone as there are much cheaper options. For the price we paid for this tour it was not worth it for a family of three. I believe you could certainly get yourself to Ferrari, and back again for a much cheaper price. The museum and tour there was excellent, Lamborghini museum in the other hand, very weak in comparison. Yes we had a driver for the day but unfortunately he did not speak English, I although her was helpful and lovely, thought this was a tour and the English speaking driver was included to maybe learn about the area. Not worth the excessive cost. We were not offered English tours at either destination we were left on our own and no one could tell us if this was included or not. We read the details as though were would get an English tour and both destinations, not the case.

Ferrari museum and tour excellent. Driver didn’t speak English and had to use google translate. This was not what we expected and made a 2 way conversation stilted/difficult. The driver did try hard though. Lunch - more information prior would have been better. We were not expecting a tasting which although it was enjoyable meant our actual lunch was very rushed - 2 hours were required not just 1 hour. The owner was disappointed for us and being rushed took away from the experience. Given the cost of the whole experience we feel mildly disappointed.

O almoço estava incluso, porém, para nossa surpresa o Guia compartilhou a mesa conosco. Estavamos acomodados em uma mesa para casal e ele nos trocou de mesa e sentou-se com a gente e ainda para nossa surpresa pagamos pela "carne", sendo que o consumo foi sugerido pelo guia. Outro ponto é que no voucher consta a visita a Citadella Ferrari, para nossa surpresa ao chegarmos para a visita quiseram cobrar mais 40 Euros por pessoa. Enfim, a descrição dos serviços e o que está incluso, tem que estar mais clara, pois trata-se de um passeio de alto valor.

The trip to citidella Ferrari cancelled. Offered Formula1 1 simulation instead. This was informed immediately when the trip was ordered. We accepted the replacement. The driver was however not quit acceptable. We had ordered English guided trip to the citadel Ferrari. We did therefore expect to be able to speak to the driver with basic English knowledge, but no. We had to use Italian! The driver didn’t really know the program - we had to actively inform the driver when to drive to the Lamborghini museum. The driver had problems finding the restaurant. The driver didn’t help us to get in contact with contact persons at the Ferrari test drive, museums and restaurant. The only information was when he planned to drive to next destinations.

If you have a car, you can do the museum visits yourself. The cost for the museum entries is less than 200 euro total for 2 people. This was the worst tour I have ever had. The driver did not speak one word to us the entire day. The car was nice enough and the driver respectful and safe, but otherwise it was not worth the money we paid at all. The cost of this tour was extortion for only entry to the museums and lunch for 2 people. There was no explanation that you could or should book a ticket to use the simulators in advance and there was not enough time at the ferrari museum at all. I don't like giving poor reviews but this is necessary to avoid the trap.
